I would like to see a video discussing arm positions for twisting cause I know a lot of people teach it differently.

can u plz do one on the topic he was talking about earlier? about how the trampolinist has twists to the left but his roundoff does to the right? thats how it is for

@danfearn Prefer this too. It has the advantage that it's all arm-induced twists. From pike or tuck it's a cat-twist (though in this video it seems like he is using the arm a bit in the straight position after opening from the pike). I also like the 3/4 front straight to flat back landing and work one twist in there by dropping one arm.

A barani is a cartwheel with no hands ☺

A barani is a front somersault with 1/2 twist. A cartwheel with no hands is an aerial. An aerial roundoff twists in the other direction than the barani and the twist is initiated in the first half of the somersault, in the barani it's in the second half :)

A BARANI-- which is REALLY named after an Italian gymnast -- his real name is -- B A R O N I -- yes-- its a --- BARONI !! This old skill has messed up so many peoples IDEA of correct twisting - yes, it WAS done by Baroni-- as a round off with NO hands! It should NEVER, EVER be used as a basis for TWISTING----- EVER! Just DO what George SHOWED here --- it IS the ONLY, yes-- only true correct way to START finding your twisting preference--- that is IT!! WHY????? Try the BARANI style -- go ahead-- it WILL feel like a NO handed round-off, IT WILL ALSO make YOUR --- PERECEPTION of which way you TWIST--- VERY WRONG-- VERY WRONG-- I GUARANTEE IT!!! NOW go try the FRONT with a 1/2---- like it IS DONE IN THIS VIDEO!!!!! --- repeat it, LIKE he SAID!! IT WILL FEEL like a a totally different SKILL and perception than a BARANI!!!---- Doing what he is showing in this video ---- ALSO sets you up SO WELL to do MORE twists! The BARANI -- will lead you down the ROAD --- to feeling like you TWIST -- 2 DIFFERENT directions when you TRY to LEARN a FRONT FULL!!!! it will make thing MUCH harder to DO AND MUCH harder to FEEL what it ---- SHOULD FEEL LIKE! NOW--- JUST take the ROUND-OFF----- AND LEAVE it---- LEAVE as a separate skill ---- NOT RELATED to TWISTING---- You WILL be THANKFUL, it DOES work this way. Establishing your twisting direction does have OTHER LEAD-UP progressions that WILL tell you which direction you or your gymnast TWISTS----- using the FRONT PIKE with a 1/2 twist is the APEX of this establishing PROCESS--- WHY??? BECAUSE the opening and twisting from the PIKE position---- is a TRUE -- REACTIONARY process, and TELLS YOU or your gymnasts the REAL direction they twist!! You may get a REAL surprise-- you THINK you twist one way --- but when you do the PIKE OPEN TWIST---- you MIGHT go the OPPOSITE direction----- you THOUGHT you would twist!! That is is ONE reason he is telling you to do this REPEATEDLY!--- It WILL DETECT -- your REAL preference in twisting direction! Do yourself a BIG FAVOR---- IGNORE the ROUND-OFF--- as ANY IDEA of which way you REALLY twist! NO matter which way you end up twisting!
