Hi Nath, thank you very much for these videos as I find them very useful when training and also coaching. Could I ask what garden trampoline you have as I have bought one for my nephews however the springs are very tight and this is restricting somersaults

TheHandfulloffun Thanks glad you like the updates! It's a supertramp funbouncer 12ft, be aware that most trampolines are a little stiff til they get worn in a little though so the one your nephew has might be alright it just needs a little more use first

Can you do a video on spotting for twisting in depth? Including how to spot the half twist crash dive, arabians, etc. that I irks spot for the first early back quarter twist. Since spotting for front twisting is way easier and less scary

I can't get my body straight for some reason and I've been trying for a while now. I don't know what to do. Any tips?

A straight body is achieved with good tension in the core and the glutes so strengthening those muscles and making sure they are engaged during the skill should definitely help!

So which arm drops for back fulls and front fulls?
@learngymnasticsonline5341
@learngymnasticsonline5341 3 жыл бұрын
It's a little confusing and biomechanically complex, but essentially for forwards twisting you twist towards the longer side and for backwards you twist towards the shorter side. So for forwards, if you drop your right arm you'll twist to the left and for backwards if you drop your right you'll go to the right. I find it simpler from a coaching point of view to simply think about 'torquing' the shoulders and the arms towards the direction you want to go, as I think it gives more control, is easier to remember and looks nicer than simply dropping one arm, which is why I didn't really mention it during this video. Hope that makes sense!

@@learngymnasticsonline5341 Would you be willing to reload it? I know it's old, and not as detailed as your newer vids, but it all helps. Your vids are exceptional and there is such a lack of useful twisting education available to U.K. tramp coaches. 😊

I know I'm kinda late to the party, but can somebody give me advice on not twisting to early? I'm a gymnast and I have good height for both the front and back flip, but especially with my front flips I created this bad habit of initiating the twist waaay too early, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Back twists aren't as bad, but if I do front twists, my body turns before I even jump. It's like a bad contact twist where my initial starting point is already fucked up.
