Great instruction and demo. I'm 65 years old and just started drilling this on the tramp last night By end 2022 I'm hopeful to perform this skill on the tumble track. I mentioned my age to encourage adults to view gymnastics as s a lifetime sport. I only started 3 months ago and already have a solid back salto reasonable front and a high barani off double mini tramp. The trampoline in particular is appropriate for older adults. Get a coach, follow the advice and you will overcome many fears and experience movement in space probably not even b4 dreamed off.

I really like this! You can see how the arabian is formed. Sometimes with twist it is hard to understand what is going on, but this breaks it down and you can see where the twist happens.

This is very good, yet when I did it, I did half turn bounce bounce tuck and then deducting the bounces as we got more comfortable. X

Not sure why people are hating on George so much, the video clearly states it shows the progressions and some utilisations of the arabian (which, yes, is a half-turn to forward rotation). As for seeing someone who can't do the skill being described: that really is not how gymnastics is taught. You would never ask someone who started learning arabian-progressions to actually do an arabian (without matting) the same day, that's reckless. He clearly states they'd get their athletes to do 30-40 1/2 twist to front-turn-over before they should attempt to the arabian to feet. For all the back-yard heroes just remember that while you are doing these skills you have little to no sense of what they actually look like or if you're ready to move on to the next progression; yeah you might be able to do something like what is shown here but having a qualified coach is the only real way to know if you're actually doing it or not and will undoubtedly allow you to progress faster than through 'self-tought' methods. I swear people have no respect for gymnastics anymore *sigh*

I like the idea of an educational video, but would prefer to see someone being taught drills whom cannot actually do the skill. What was done to teach the girl to lift her feet before ducking under from the Aeroplane? This is the most important part that seems to be missing here, in my mind.

much confusion around the arabian. It's typically called arabian front, but it is a back with a half twist! Super important skill to do properly if you want to progress. I could go on but I'll spare you, unless you want more.....

An airplane?? More like a half twist to front drop
@duels7 жыл бұрын
My instructor calls it an airplane as well.
@MikeGreenwood514 жыл бұрын
Is an 'airplane' a half turn to front drop with arms out stretched like an airplane wings. You could add a last half rotation to a back drop.
@ace64597 жыл бұрын
I did mine first try thru a different video, all it had to say was if u know how to do a backflip and a front flip it will be easier, now time.for the twist. that's all I had to watch of the video, I tried it, my friends started screaming, and I was like,"what happened?" and they said I did an Arabian, I just shrugged and kept going and every time I landed it they screamed 😂 I am.the only one that can do it out of my friends EDIT: I also do it on a.normal trampoline not a super.tramp or anything, just a normal trampoline

steven Richards I’ve done one without an instructor but it still did it in a gym... that’s a bad idea to do it on ground. I almost sprained my ankle doing one on a mat, you could really hurt yourself on hard ground.

That's not an arabian, is a twist. Twist = a half turn. Arabian = a quarter turn (land by side). IMO
