Once you get over the fact that it's almost impossible to enter a race without getting kicked for high latency, I now have a new found respect for the effort you put into your vids. Just the kind of video I was looking for! I absolutely loved the GT Endurance hoppers on Forza 5 and 6, and I've just bought Forza 7 and am growing my car collection of GT cars before hopping online, trying to find the best car. These lobbies always seem to have the best racing. I think the longer races and high performance race cars are sometimes a bit too much for the casual rammer, and it attracts more true motorsport fans. What do you make of the GT cars in this game so far, Super GT? I see in the description you like the M3 GT2, and the Viper looked quite good here. I've been trying to tune the Huracan GT3 to quit breaking loose in the rear and actually turn in properly, because it's such a beautiful car and I want to make it work, and I've almost got it. The Audi R8 seems very powerful. I think my favourite thing from the GT hoppers I've seen from your videos so far is that this isnt just the Aston Martin Hopper anymore. The variety of the grid looks, and sounds, amazing. That 835PI Homologation has done wonders for this class it seems.

They really should just have it that the non-contact setting is on for the first 30 seconds of a race to stop this stupid chaos that takes place at the start and in the first major turn. Just so the race can get started fairly for everyone. That way if you go off into the grass, can't slow down for the turn, don't start fast enough, etc it's on you and not the idiots around you.

I don't think it would properly work. The carnage would get postponed until 30 seconds into race. Plus being ghosted for 30 seconds wouldn't feel like actual racing. They should change some ghosting though - people who don't move off the line should be ghosted, that would clean up so many crashes.

I'd agree with that. The loot crates don't really negatively alter this game too much, I simply don't tough them. Only issue is that some cars are locked behind them seemingly but overall it's not too big an issue.

sorry Erick.. Single player is okay, but for the good guys the AI level is too easy even on unbeatable. But you try to play online its a complete nightmare. Yes you can find a decent lobby once in awhile. but between the horrible players the constant disconnection and no B,A,R class lobbies the racing isnt up too spec.. I find that even with a good internet connection the game play jumps around making close racing almost impossible. I can go on and on. But for seasoned forza players the online part of the game is very bad...

Yeah, the AI is pretty poor, but the game itself is just way full of bugs. I spent 4 hours this weekend trying to earn a car doing "Forzathon" challenges or whatever, and no matter what I do, following the rules and goals, nothing ever gets recorded. I looked in the forums and it seems this is one of many issues people are having. The biggest tell that the game just isn't ready and was rushed out was when the official FIX (ahem) is to turn off the game and restart and "see if that helps"...I'm not sure but I think they just asked me if I tried turning it off and back on again....

Martijn Rutte I wouldn't say that for Project Cars, to be quite honest. And maybe I'd add R3E, and definitely add rFactor 2. Still, GTSport has a way better overall package than Forza 7, especially looking into the future. Maybe if Forza fixes some of the constant issues it has, I'd prefer it for now. For the arcade racing with a sim edge kind of genre, the comparison between both games has a great point, in my humble opinion.

Slomowo Why not Project Cars? It is basically a direct competitor to Assetto Corsa, though, Assetto Corsa has a bit more of an edge on the driving simulation, I would argue that they are about on the same level as far as what they are trying to achieve

James Shives From what I've felt, the physics they've programmed in Project Cars is definitely good when it comes to realism, but it just doesn't feel _right_ to me. There are several details that I might mention, but I guess we'd just be wasting our time, since maybe it is something to do with the subjectivity of it all. Of course, Project Cars is definitely much more of a simulator than Forza, that's for sure.

Martijn Rutte Project Cars isn’t 100% accurate either, the sounds are exaggerated and steering wheel is so sensitive and the driver doesn’t turn it like real life, GT cars in PC and PC2 are nothing like the real race cars, the most accurate simulator is iRacing but the graphics are garbage.

Two wins and a second. I'd love to have your setbacks, Super GT. ;-) All kidding aside, the nice thing about watching these long races is that we get to see things really develop and which drivers are good enough to execute again and again without messing up. The 2- and 3-lap races are too often crapshoots; there's a gigantic clusterfrag in the first 15 seconds and the polesitter either skedaddles away or gets caught up in an even stupider mishap and the car behind steals it. Here, you get a sense that the winner definitely earned it. As for the end-of-race timer, I don't know why it's not geared to the length of the race. 20 seconds is fine for a 2-lap blitz, but 18 at Sebring should be at _least_ 45, and I'd go as long as a full minute. And no points for not finishing on the lead lap? I can understand if they quit or _completely_ bomb out (2 laps down, for example), but otherwise there should be _something,_ even if it's pocket change.

I really enjoy the Dodge Viper in the Endurance GT races, in my opinion it's probably the best Endurance GT car to use. From my experience it has the best handling, and braking of all the other Endurance GT cars, and is awesome too drive also.

Super GT Yeah, only thing I don't like about the Endurance GT lobbies is when you join right after a race starts, you're sitting there for roughly 20 minutes waiting for the race to finish, It's so boring. Hopefully spectate mode is add to multiplayer lobbies soon that way It's not so boring waiting for the race to finish.

Ahh, the Dodge Viper GTS. I like to call it "the garage project Dodge pulled the production trigger on that ended up causing GM to spend a metric crap-ton of money to make a slightly faster Vette." I love the Viper. I believe it was one of my favorite cars in Forza 3. The thing just flat gobbles tarmac like cotton candy... up to a point. I think i ended up hitting the limits of the platform when I was trying to get it to eclipse 220mph in the straights. Even with all the upgrades I could throw at it, the low speed performance suffered greatly. Fish tailing at the slightest suggestion of acceleration from nearly any corner with exit speeds less than 90mph. Still, for such a relatively 'low tech' car, it's still a blast.

It's odd that a lot of people seem to have trouble with gearing. I download loads of tunes where the cars handle beautifully, but the ratios are utterly shite. It's a shame really, 'cos all the cars I tune for myself are average handling, but perfectly geared. I can't win! I've been pretty decent at ratios since Gran Turismo, almost 20 years ago...........fuck that makes me feel old!!

Super GT strangely enough with all the bugs and glitches of forza 7....its growning on me and its mostly because of the new handling physics and the gt hopper. I would love for forza to add in more gt3-ish cars( atleast some modern dtm and gt500 cars). Other than the gt endurance hopper i cant play forza 7 at all.

i can agree that the viper GTS-R is a great car, used it through a whole racing series and fell in love with it though do know that this video kinda triggers me, your shifting too early and missing the powerband which is around the 5.4k RPM i believe other then that, still a great video and here's to good racing in the next one (hopefully avoiding the rammers along the way)

Gearshifter09 A lot of the very best drivers use it. I would say that you can keep it on but try to learn some of the braking points dor yourself. Try to only use the braking line when you're really unsure.

Yeah, try racing with it off. It basically stops the car from spinning but cuts power to do so. If you can drive quite smoothly anyway, you won't need it and you will save time with it off.
