PC2’s scaling and camera just feels so good. You get this sense of really being in the track. The car and environment scaling looks so natural. You don’t get the “driving on tails” feel like in GT, it has the most realistic color also. GT is ok but too pretty. FM7 is way too saturated and they add these cinematic looking filters that is. It realistic to real world colors. Project however, doesn’t do a good job at the sense of speed. The cars SOUND faster than the VISUALLY seem to going. The car could be screaming at a high rpm and the speedometer say 140mph but it looks like it’s cruising at 60mph.

Forza 7 is a lot different. I thought it would be like you said the same game with a few minor changes, but after actually playing it I can say it’s nothing like Forza 6. I tried putting in Forza 6 last week to compare the 2 and it was unbearable. It’s like trying to go back to McDonalds after eating at Chick-fil-a.

upward pilot forza is fun once you get the hang of it but it’s not easy to get used to the physics. They are not that realistic. They do have good points about the physics like the brakes to me feel fantastically. Tires are kind of in the middle in my opinion. Forza is horrible on lift over over steer and also I don’t believe the anti brake system is sport on under extreme breaking and steering adjustments. I’d say racing tires on GT might be a bit to much but all the rest of the tires bring a much more realistic experience. Sports tires feel much closer to real life than the tires on Forza. Stock tires on GT feel pretty spot on too.

AcidStorm BR hue GT Sport simply looks better with those amazing colors. Forza doesn't really make good use of the 4K resolution. This shows that resolution is definitely not the most important. The HDR mode in GT Sport is also the best one

I had all 3 games and I must say that looking in the detail project cars 2 is the best. But REALLY speaking GT sport’s lighting, reflections and overall effects are way more realistic and vibrant. Also, there are so many prototype cars and different campaigns to follow. In fact i only kept gt sport ( I sold forza 7 first )

Played all 3 in 4k pc2 and forza 7 maxed out on pc at 4k and i’ve got gt sport on the pro and gt sport wins hands down! the gameplay is amazing, the tracks feel amazing to drive in gt sport, the lighting and car detail is also amazing and stands out from the rest and the replays just look soooo realistic compared to forza and pc2. Gt sport might have less cars but it’s obvious they put the most detail and effort in to all the cars plus they’ve just dropped a bunch of cars in recent patches. The concept cars in gt sport are also amazing.

The cars themselves to me for some reason GT looks good viewing from a distance. It’s not until you zoom in the the other too have more detail. Interior and tail lights and head lights look better hands down on GT. Keep in mind this isn’t a regular GT game. It’s a game before the main game.

errrrm... no. It doesn't even have dynamic weather and time cycles. The damage and tire model in PC2 are far more superior (no physical tire flex for gt sport, sorry), PC2 has snow and ice, PC2 has far more (important) race tracks. Oh, and who would have guessed? Everything related to picture is better in GT Sport except for only resolution, and yes GT Sport has had a carreer mode since December

What is also amazing to me is just look at the other cars in GTS while they are passing you or when you are passing them, it looks so natural somehow, l can't describe it properly, but as if they are somehow more connected to the ground, you can feel their weight almost. Whereas in PC2 the other cars' movement just seems off to me, l don't why, they don't feel connected, they move as if there is no gravity, they wiggle and twitch all the time from one end to the other like nothing.

Agree with most of the points, except some comments on trees at Mt Panorama. Having spent many hours sitting around the track, I can say that GT Sport and PC2 do not "accurately depict the barren trees" at Forrest's Elbow (the corner shown in the still screenshot when that quote is said). That corner backs onto bushland, and you cannot see through to the distant fields. So while Forza 7's trees are certainly lower quality, their representation of the actual environment is better anyway. Similarly, the very next shot starts at "the grate" at Sulman Park... PC2 has trees directly on the fence at the right-hand side of the track, who do not exist in real life. GT Sport's trees are placed in the correct location, but don't match the real trees for style. Meanwhile Forza 7's trees are in the correct location, and are a much better representation of the real trees, but are just ultra-low polygon sprites. I feel like I'm analysing a very unimportant feature a bit too much, but when the goal of the game was to give the impression of track scenery being correct while you're flying past at racing speeds, having things in the correct location, looking vaguely like the real thing, and with correct density is a pretty good result. PC2 doesn't do a good job of any of these things. GT Sport fails on the density in the correct locations. Forza's downfall is that the trees look like garbage when you stop and stare at them... but otherwise I reckon they're the best.

The way you are cropping the images with Project cars and forza are fine. But if you notice the car is much further away from the camera in GT sport. Changing the camera distance to near may bring a clearer image of the car.

That's a very good point. But the comparisons in the "Replay" mode are all the same distance from the vehicle, and while it's reduced slightly, it's still not as crisp as Project Cars 2 or Forza 7.

GT Sport still maintain the graphics because they took away the simulation thing because it would be kill the console hardware. Only for graphics, GT Sport better. But gameplay, physics, content? Hell no. I hope the GT7 on PS5 will amaze me, than just the graphics looking. Look an example Assetto Corsa Competizione, less content than Project Cars 2, but with better physics and better looking graphics, it is absolutely console killer. Need a year after release on PC to release the game on Xbox.

Thanks for doing this. I made a review comparing FM7 to GTS and people thought I was nuts to even suggest that Forza has better graphics in some regards. I was called an xbox fanboy by many even though I said that the lighting, color and cinematography made GTS look more realistic and I preferred it's approach. I like both games but I'm not blind. Plus, everyone keeps citing the DigitalFoundry video, even though the Xbox one X version of FM7 hadn't been released yet. People see what they want to see I guess...

In your damage comparison you give credit to Forza for broken headlights. Headlights crack in GT Sport as well. You just can't see it past the glare of the lights. If you mean headlights actually failing after impact, I don't know if that is the case for Forza since it's not shown in the video.

I actually really enjoyed GTSport. The online community is vastly superior to all other racing games at the moment, and the HDR support in Gran Turismo is amazing. But the single player mode is pretty weak when compared to the older Gran Turismo games or even Forza 7.

Nope. I disagree. I recorded this video after having played quite a bit of the newly added "Campaign" in GTSport. It's still very weak. You can't even progress to the final leagues unless you stop playing campaign and rank up online or in their boring tutorial races. I like the design of Forza's campaign more, it has better variety and feels more involved. Project Cars 2's campaign is annoying because you get locked in for an hour with a specific car.

When it comes to lighting, a lot of people have different opinions. I personally can't tell which looks more realistic across all 3. They all look good. And it's tough to judge because the lighting conditions are never identical in these videos.

Man, it's a good thing we don't play games with a zoomed-in view and or while standing 1 inch away from the screen with our noses practically pressed against the screen!!! Despite what he says in this video, GTS does NOT look quite as smudgy as it does in this gameplay video... one search on YT for a better captured 1080p60fps GTS video taken from a PS4 pro will show this and reveal how badly compressed this video is. Yes I realize all YT videos will be compressed, but some are worse than others to certain different degrees... and yes I know the other two games (Forza & PC2) running at higher resolutions will always look cleaner than GTS, I'm not saying otherwise. However what I am stating is that the GTS footage captured in this video does not represent accurate image quality, even compared to other GTS videos found on YT. Overall though this comparison video is an interesting one and I am thankful that Nick930 created it.

Because why would there be? They are entirely different types of games. That video would take forever. If you want to know the difference between the two, take a look at reviews I made for both GTSport and Forza Motorsport 7. They both are good games in their own ways. GTSport is designed more as a competitive online racer while Forza Motorsport 7 is more approachable to a casual audience.

Maybe I'm jealous of Gran Turismo Sport's graphics (I'm a Forza player) but I think the coloration in Gran Turismo is quite exagerated, and the reflections probably are too, but in Forza Motorsport the coloration is very little, so non of them is perfect honestly

Im playing PC2 at native 4K Ultra Settings everything to the max and it just looks phenomenal. i played the forza 7 demo on pc also and GT-Sports on a friends console. they cant even come close to PC2 graphics on PC. On consoles its a different story. btw. PC2 got a lot of patches and fixes. it improved by a lot.

#1: It costs 1million credits. I'm not going to grind for a car just so it matches in this video when the purpose of that scene is to compare the night-lighting #2: The F1 in Project Cars, GTSport, and Forza are not the same. They are 3 different models.

El Churejon Neville( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Nah the details are much better in GT Sport. The car models have maybe twice the poly count. It's the reason that GT Sport doesn't have as much cars as FM7 because the developers of GT Sport spend more time designing car models.

Project cars if you look at the head lights and the smoked tail light as the other 2 game only have the red look in real life they have the smoked the head lights not sure on that one also project cars seems to have have the better quality game play even with settings turned down

I love Project cars more coz it has a lot more to offer that fulfills my wants. We can drive and roam freely in PC2. Idk if it is allowed in Forza. And the images are much crisper in Pc2. Well its in my opinion

Forza maxed out on PC absolutely wipes the floor visually with GTS....I run it at about 5k res myself (4K plus additional supersampling) and it runs at a seamless 60 FPS and looks unbelievable. GTS handles trees better, that's obvious. But the overall image has a very frustrating blurriness to it - aliasing is a major problem and it's not only noticeable when zoomed in/cropped, it's also noticeable during motion. It kills the experience for me. That said all of this is ultimately nitpicking - the majority of people would struggle to pick a winner if shown moving footage of all three with revealing which is which. They al look fantastic and all do well in certain areas, while struggling in others. Personally I prefer Forza's sharper / crisper visuals, but it's not perfect either and has flaws of it's own.

GT Sport is for serious sim-racers, PC2 is serious sim-cade, FM7 is a classic sim-cade, but will never be serious enough to really compete with GT Sport. Also PC2 has the best physics and crash models.

Project Cars 2 will always win for me since its the only full sim while Forza and GT are simcades...but if we are just talking about graphics, PC2 is still the best, it does things that neither Forza nor GT can do, PC2 simply looks better in every way IMO. But thats not important, because what really matters in a racing game for me is the simulation, the game that i play has to be the most realistic possible in every way, and to be honest PC2 destroys both Forza and GT in that department Anyway, its my personal opinion and it always depends on what you are looking for in a racing game, some people will prefer arcade racer like DriveClub, others will prefer simcades like Forza and GT and people like me will enjoy full sims like PC2, Assetto Corsa or RaceRoom for exemple..and its perfectly fine like that, just enjoy the game you prefer and have fun! To each their own!

Its a simulator, it's not supposed to look all pretty and beautiful like GT Sport or Forza 7 because they're both sim-arcades and they don't focus on physics as much as PC2 does.

Hellcat9k well gts is realistic enough but can be comfortably driven on both wheel and controller, making more motorsport fans growing the sport. I can't really think much on FORZA, it has cool car customisable options I guess

project cars 2 wins as not only is it the best with weather and the whole game but it is the most universal game compared to the others, pc2 is on pc, xbox, ps4. gts is only on ps4 which is huge downside. forza is on xbox, pc which limts ps4 users from playing but who wants to play forza anyway. this comparison is missing a major thing: not only the weather in pc2 but the varaity in the game it self. for example: pc2 has nearly all kinds of racing not like the others. also if you think i am a pc2 fanboy i am not as i have played forza motorsport 6 apex and 7 demo on pc, played gran turismo 6 on my ps3, and played pc2 on my pc
