Forza fans may hate this game, but I absolutely love it. The game has something very crucial that is missing from other Forza games which is a human element. The world is absolutely beautiful. The cars look and sound great. The music, even if you hate the genres, gave the game a sense of independence, freedom and youth. This is easily one of the most entertaining and atmospheric games I have played. Cars actually handle like cars and not just moving objects on a central pivot like most other car games. The game is not phenomenal by any means but really fun to play. If you judge this game as a Forza title it is terrible but if you take it as it's own game it is a good and absorbing game.

Joshua Graham The funny thing is that this forza shouldn't exist... Forza only releases every 2 yrs... this game is just a spin-off of forza for anyone who is interested in a game like this. They didn't have to buy this game and they weren't entitled to anything. This was a bonus for forza fans. MS assembled this team to make an amazing semi-open world forza game... but they were working with old hardware and were expected to bring the visuals and new ideas and make it open-world and make it smooth but to do that they had to drawback on the amazing handling. This turned me off but it was still a great game. If they could make the handling amazing again like forza 4/5 it will be right up there with The Crew.

The first Horizon is still my favorite. Enjoy the cutscenes and actual stations at each race site instead of a sign above your car. Also find the first one to be the most scenic from canyons, deserts, forest, mountains, waterfalls and autumn leaves road.

It's an amazing game but the gameplay is still far inferior to forza 4. It just doesn't have the same handling as forza 4 did. That is what it really is missing. As well as the force feedback in the controller.

***** There's a different between having arcade handling and just shit handling. Forza's handling was fantastic and I always knew when I had to break and the gameplay felt smooth... I feel like in forza horizon, I was always bumping into shit to keep me progressing through the race. The gameplay also wasn't very good. I love arcade racers like grid 2 and split/second, but the gameplay in Forza horizon just wasn't good imo.

+K.H. Well if you are going to get Forza Horizon 2 DO NOT get it on the Xbox 360. So much content was cut out of the full game including cars, its better if you have an Xbox One. FH is much better on the 360 compared to FH2 on the 360

One thing that stays deep in my memory drive, anyone remember the Netsky remix of everyday, that is what sums Forza Horizon up, making you enjoy the open road and go completely bonkers. Barrel rolling the car, listening to Tuneless FM, whatever you want, you got it!! Forza Horizon to me, every game in the franchise just feels right

This game looks fucking awesome. I'm a PS3 guy and it makes me wanna buy a 360 just to play it. Although I do have to say, they're kind of copying MotorStorm with the whole 'wild racing festival' concept. This game basically looks like an urban, open world version of MotorStorm for the 360, which is definitely a good thing. But at the end of the day they are kind of stealing the idea of MotorStorm. I just wish this game was on PS3...

Lol how ironic that people didn’t estimate this game and loved it as much when it got released, but now they praise the game. I personally did enjoy it, and it’s still for me the best Forza Horizon game ever played. This did feel like a “festival” unlike FH4 which has felt more like an arcade game than a sim arcade. Never underestimate games like these, because a lot of people did under appreciated this game, but now feel regret for it. This was a real Forza Horizon festival game here. Playground did its job well here. I hope they remember this game and go back to its classic roots in FH5.

I give it a 9.9/10. Driving stick is really fun. I just hate the class restrictions, but they do make sense. The soundtrack could have been a lot better too. But this game is really fun and it wont get old too fast

***** The last thing we need is cops in Horizon 2. We don't need another NFS or The Crew. There is something so satisfying about flying down the highway in my Aston Martin at night just to see the festival in the distance without... We oooo we oooo... I don't want to be pulled over trying to go through speed traps or trying to challenge somebody to a street race... I just want them to stay true to their game and not try and be like any other game.

bob fred True. It was just odd hearing them talk about cops on the radio only to have them never appear in-game... Also, I'm not sure how having cops automatically means they're copying NFS (you weren't serious right?) Plenty of other racing games have cops, if ONLY to add extra realism. There is literally no consequences for getting pulled over in some games...

***** I meant a clone of those particular games because NFS is based around cops and The Crew is also an open world racing game (forza being more semi-open world obviously) but again... It just would be annoying and would drawback on the game. They shouldn't have talked about cops but they should stick to their roots. What would cops do in the game anyways? As you're racing 10 mph over the speed limit listening to music a cop is gonna try and pull you over? The whole scenario sounds dumb. I can just imagine myself listening to a freaking queen song while a cop is chasing me... it just doesn't make any sense with the content already in the game.

it doesnt matter, there is enough variation in bolt on parts that you can get the desired effect you want. (IE cams vs turbos, short vs long gears) Basically you can make a short track car and a top speed car just by picking your parts carefully. and drifting is the same

KerrDogga As a One S owner myself (currently playing both Horizon 1 & 3 religiously), I am certainly beyond thrilled at how easy it was to transition from a Ps4 to the One. I certainly do recommend nabbing the One S over other current models, as its greatly reduced size (nearly half the size of the original One), built-in power block, conveniently rearranged ports, buttons, and wire inputs/outputs, as well as its sleek glossy white design combine for an absolutely amazing console experience overall. My sudden Xbox One S fanboyism aside, I absolutely do recommend that you wait for a good deal to grab the One S, as there have been quite a few deals on bundles that have been popping up the past few weeks. Happy gaming, mi amigo.

I. Can't. Freaking. WAIT! Where FM4 had you on the Top Gear track, this game makes you feel like you're IN an episode! Road testing cars, giving your opinion, hanging out with your buddies and then seeing who can win a short race. Dodging traffic and praying that the next corner doesn't have a humungous SUV just WAITING to smash in the front of your favorite muscle car. Weirdly enough, this is all stuff I gathered from playing the DEMO! Long before I just watched this review. YAY! :D

To be fair, Top Gear stuff being put in Forza was because the BBC were pissed at GT for using the Top Gear license but not actually doing anything with it, other than the test track. Forza approached them and used it way better. You get the track, car bowling and football, the actual camera angles from the show during replays and Clarkson's narration. I like both games, but credit where it's due, Forza did the Top Gear stuff way more effectively than GT5 did.

if you can afford a slightly higher price there is the Fanatec CSR wheel that is Xbox compatible(and even branded with the Forza logo) It is a very good wheel and i highly reccommend it with a decent set of Fanatec peddles

personally I think forza horizon looks as good as 4 because of it dynamic lighting which was absent, but you're right on cockpit view, its really cut back, they do care for customers thats why theyre opening this franchise to a larger fanbase- forza horizon is more for casual racers who do it for fun, and forza 4 is more for realism and sim lovers.

Is there a reason i'm not seeing a way to use the paddle shifters with microsft's force feedback wheel and Horizon? Every steering wheel layout has them marked as unused... was this just an enormous oversight in development. I could shift manually in forza 4

Most Wanted is more of an "arcade" type racer. Loads of crashes, drifts, nitrous, police chases, etc. Forza is kind of a happy medium between simulator racing and arcade racing. High speed racing but with less drifting and tighter driving.

Just got this game, and even though I feel like Gran Turismo controls better, this is still SO fun. I love going and messing around in an R1 viper and feeling completely powerful over any rival I can find, and making e-drifts to improve my popularity, and just exploring the open world.

Damn this game is stunning, it's got a lot of single player content but I honestly prefer NFS Most Wanted's multiplayer. Also, to the people below me, a game's quality isn't defined by what console it's on... As somebody who is more of a PS3 player, I can tell you this is an amazing game.

forza for car customization, graphics and simulation-grade physics. this is a simulation game but with some assist turned on, it's pretty much arcade. most wanted for police chases, bashing up cars and fast arcade racing. this is a no-holds barred speedy arcade racer. if you don't mind the laws of physics suffering from serious dementia, this is the one for you they're both fun to race around in so if you pick by preference, you'll love either one

yeah i miss underground 1 and 2....god those were awesome days. i had a fully turbo civic SI at the time too so it was good for me to be able to get some of that speed out on a video game instead of racking up the real speeding tickets.
