Good to see you back, and happy belated new year. I believe to date, this has the most cars and tracks to ever appear in a Forza Motorsport game (I heard with DLC included, it’s close to 700 cars). I found the repetition complaint to sound a bit like a broken record because the nature of racing means racing games, particularly sims like this game, are naturally just going to be repetitive by design and in real life, championships do follow the structure of race after race after race, but I guess on the flip side there’s an argument that formula simply isn’t going to hold the attention of many barring the most hardcore sim fans. And on a personal note, I don’t mind the lack of off-road or rally events here. Gran Turismo is mainly about on-road racing anyway and with games like Dirt Rally and the recent WRC games now, there are already options that do it far better than either GT or Forza would. Or to put it another way, I’d rather have two games that focus on one discipline and excel at that one thing over having two things and one of them being almost a non-factor by comparison. Just a thought. Overall, good job and am looking forward to what’s next from you.

Still my favorite forza Motorsport game in the series. I remember getting this Christmas 2011 and being amazed by the graphics,car list, fantastic instrumental ost songs during the menu and races. Along with Jeremy Clarkson narrating from top gear was just so awesome. Honesty the peak of the Motorsport series.

Forza Motorsport 4 is masterpiece Forza series. I played when I lived in japan.also I bought all DLCs at the time. After the few years , I moved to U.S.I bought Xbox 360 and all Forza series again.because my parents passd away few years ago. I'm only child. No home and no family in the Japan. I enjoying play the Forza Motorsport 4.Many popular cars and many tracks.I also playing the Forza Motorsport 3 ,5 , 6 , 7 and Forza Motorsport 2023. I love Forza Motorsport 3 and 4. also Forza Motorsport 7 is engine sound is terriible. 3 , 4 , 5, and 6 is high quality sound.

I really enjoyed the career mode in 4. They changed the formula in the later titles and it felt like it was for the worse.

I remember playing this game in 2012 when I first got my Xbox 360 for Christmas. That and Skyrim, which was my first introduction to the Forza series. I heard of the name before from other KZbinrs but wrote it off since I didn't have an Xbox 360 at the time and focused on Playstation and Nintendo products. But since my friend group at the time had a 360 and begged me to death to get one. I just said what the hell. FM4 is probably one of my favorite games during that time. It was a weird departure from the Gran Turismo series, and I could not stop playing FM4 because the gameplay was exciting. From the presentation to the car list being expansive to be things that people love, such as Jermey Clackson and Top Gear-related things. I wouldn't blame someone for saying that this game is a masterpiece, and it shows. It is a shame that this was the final game in the series that I would consider. The Xbox One era was lackluster, in my opinion. And while I do like the first two Horizon games. It's nothing compared to the fourth Motorsport game in the series.

I just completed the World Tour mode like a week or two back and it sure gets repetitive. Seems like every second race was either in Sebring, Nürburgring GP or Silverstone. This is strange because there are tracks I forgot even existed in the game because they were almost never used. But yeah, the car list is amazing and the game still holds up today. I bought a used 360 in 2022 to play it and I have no regrets.

I remembered that this game came bundled with an extra DVD to download additional content, because the full game was too big to fit on a single HD-DVD. It was a better excuse for locking extra content than with a code. and certainly a lot better than having to play the whole game via. the cloud!

Yes that's right. I had one of the basic slim XBoxes and I had to choose just one part of the DLC because I didn't have space for any more 😂

I'm playing this at the moment and really having a love/hate relationship with the AI. I have noticed it gets better as you progress into higher classes though.

It would be desirable if Microsoft and Turn10 decided to release Forza 4 as a remaster with 4k and 60fps resolution so that it can also be played online. 🙏🏼✨

I would take a PC port, also them releasing new tracks and dlc cars would be cool. FM8 is so bad that just going back in time and adding content to old games than new inferior one.

Yeah, the track selection for the event list could’ve been a lot better. Also lap balancing - some races have way too many laps and others have way too little.

Played it again last weekend. The handling is weird. It's like the cars first pivot around their center point, instead of actually going forward and turning.

Coming from someone who 100% completed forza 4, levels 50 to 150 give cash, but because turn 10 found people kept hitting the level cap, they raised the cap to 999 or something, but you don't get any money for reaching those :/

I played this game not long ago again after 13 years and I must say it really is much better than the newer titles. I actually had fun with it and felt I had to progress lol. Then again I am playing with the project forza plus mod

Great review, I still have my Xbox 360 for this game, to me it´s the best racing game ever and I have played lots of them. I hope someday Turn10 can make another great game like this but for the moment it seems difficult, I really didn´t liked the last one, they did a much better job with FM7.

18:29 Wrong. The footage you just showed is a car from FM1 which was in FM4, same goes for the S15 silvia. They are dated car models still used to this day.

I remember when this game came out, i wanted it so bad. I ended getting it from my friend, but it was only disk 1 with limited content. I ended buying the game later and enjoying it more fully but it’s one of if not my favorite racing games of all time

Yep, Forza 4 is still the one to beat. And the only Forza that ever had the '88 Pontiac Fiero GT. Which came in the December car pack.

Forza Motorsport 4 with Project Forza 4 mods on FullHD with all graphical candy enabled running on Xenia is far, far, FAR better than Forza Motorsport. I missed that game SO much.

i know that in the end it has no impact on races, but the way say GT4 structured it events was much better. First of all it kinda felt like these were real events with some posters to advertize it, and they fitted events in thier own category, which in the end gave the feeling of progression, like beating amateur league, or conquering japanese events. Here it's either a fake calendar season play, linear races with no given reason for them, no continuity, or it's a gird of everything the game has. I prefer the second, although it's far from good.
