I really miss games like Gran Turismo 4 where you had to grind out several races just to put a turbo on your civic and it was the best feeling ever.. It seems like every game now days gives you a lambo after 5 races and doesn't focus on the progression and tuning. At least for me, that takes away the satisfaction.

I must say this, FM7 is fucking awesome on PC! Runs perfect, attention to detail is just spectacular! I also have a PC2 and its also great game so I would say FM7 = PC2, both games are outstanding, graphics, audio, cars...so many things are spot on! Do not buy the Ultimate Edition. The VIP pass only gives you 25 races of double credits and then it is over for your bonuses. The VIP system is a scam in this game compared to what you got in previous editions.

you know what i love about forza, it just it all right, visually , outstanding nothing touches it not pc2 not corsa nothing! the driving feel is of its own imo , forza 7 on the pc is the best thing they have ever done! and cross platform , you just opened up heaven for gamers! and with the settings and such , it gives just enough , unlike corsa and pc2 where you are drowning in options where sure if you need to have absolutly every option sure stay with them but forza just has this section covered enough for all of us sim racer or new comers alike!

The one question I didn't hear answered though: Is this worth buying if you already have Motorsport 6 and all of it's DLC? Especially for someone that might not care about the multiplayer? I mean, with all the DLC for 6, you have over 600 cars. So the amount of vehicles really isn't a big deal. There might be an extra track or two in 7. The way you have to buy a certain amount of cars in one tier to get the next tier is just straight BS. The only real advantage 7 seems to have over 6 is the dynamic weather, and that's not even on every track. And maybe the sounds are a tad better. But is that really worth the money?

If you don't have a PC with 16gb of ram and at least 6gb of vram (preferably 8gb) then you'll likely encounter those stutters, especially if you don't set your graphic settings to fairly low.

I have Forza 7 for 4K PC. Graphics are good but I stopped playing the game because I just don't like it. Setting up a race takes too much work in the menus. The game has a dark atmosphere, it feels depressing. You cannot select the time of day, so some tracks are just always cloudy and gloomy. When you go off the track it always has the same awful sound, like your car hit a plastic trash can over and over again. The handling of the car doesn't really feel right when the tires are losing traction. You run a race on a track and doesn't let you run another race on the same track, it just skips to a random track next and you have to go through the menu again to select your track. This is very inconvenient and annoying. The force feedback is lacking and feels just basic. It has a good number of tracks but about 30% of them are boring tracks and not fun to race on. I cannot have a rear view mirror on some views also. There's just so many annoying things in this game I just don't play anymore.

Just commenting about what he said on the wheel settings. They actually fixed a problem with the wheel settings forza 6 had. You can now adjust the Wheel Damper and Center Spring and so forth, like in Horizon 3. This is a huge relief for people that don't like how incredibly stiff the wheel feels in Horizon 2 and Forza 6. Great review regardless!

bought the game yesterday. Can say that this review is accurate and honest. i play at 1080p on pc with gtx1070 - Ryzen7 1700 - 16gb ram. runs very smooth for no. i set the fps to unlocked and i get consistent 90+ fps with around 120fps average depending on the track, weather, and amount of ai. the dynamic options in the video setting make for minimal setting changes. Personally i changed the default res to 1080, set the fps limit to unlocked and turned motion blur off. took 20 seconds to change the settings with good results. the built in benchmark deature is also a very nice addition.

They already said they will add a new currency later in the game cycle that you can buy for real money. Also they already fucked up the system with "mods". Those you can only get from the loot boxes and they do, what you could do for free in earlier games. Before if you changed the weather or the day cycle in the older games, you got extra points because the track got harder. You still can change the track conditions for free to make it harder, but you won´t get extra points anymore "until" you use one of the "mods" and they are one time use. You know, like the shaders in Destiny 2. So you can say you earn points, to buy mods that let you earn more points, so you can buy more mods ... to earn more points ...

Bought the game after your review. Big mistake, should have checked out more opinions from Forza veterans. Class-based racing was killed, everything is behind too many damn menus, and the rep/level-grind is forced on a player. It feels like a game where several good things are taken out, and the ones that remain are obfuscated to the point where it's frustrating. This is my situation. Horizon 3 was my first cargame since Paradise City and I fell in love with it. 3 days with Horizon 3 i bought a Logitech G29. After finnishing H3 I bought Project Cars 1. 3 hours later I gave up. The fun factor just was not there for me. Should I give track racing another go with Forza 7 or just wait for a sale? Thanks

Honestly, forza need to sort a few things. 1: car collection. Ok, it's loads better than any other game, but you should still be able to buy an Aventador with credits and not from fucking loot boxes. And also, I played forza 6 rivals throughout the 2 years, and the fact that they have deleted the only part of rivals that people actually played. It is fucking retarded. I would recommend getting forza 6 and your choice of dlcs.

The only reason I'm even remotely interested in 7 is because some older cars and tracks have been brought back. I think personally, Turn10 needs a revolution and not an evolution at this point. They need to say "ok, we got new users. Now they have to grow up." And get back to hardcore sim roots. Revamp the driving dynamics, revamp the sounds, tweak the dynamic weather, get rid of the gimmicky fluff! And honestly maybe a photo realistic style. I love forza as a series but I clapped eyes on the vehicles in GT Sport's photo mode and I genuinely had a hard time believing some of those cars were digital. All I'm saying is take the time, listen to what your die hard fans want to see the next game become...come back in a few years with a game changer. I would love the next forza game to be as dramatic as the jump from forza 2 to Forza 3 and then to 4.

Karak, your comments about F7 stuttering on a beefy PC confirm the release version of the game has the same bug the F7M Demo, and the retail release of FH3 suffered from: The game does not use all the cores in multicore CPUs. It's 2017, and unacceptable that a AAA PC game doesn't use all the cores out of the box. It took FH3 six months to finally patch this in, so the game now runs like it should have on release. Thanks, for the big heads-up, even if it wasn't what you intended, originally. I'm going to wait on this game and if that means another six months (into 2018), at least, I will (hopefully) receive a patched and optimized game for modern PC CPUS and hardware.

Too much BS in the game for it to even be considered good. The new VIP system, and the fact that they lied about it and changed it without even changing its description on the Microsoft Store makes it worse. I've heard (not 100% sure, because I don't waste my money on Loot Crates, so I haven't tested it) that settings for Free Play are locked in RNG Loot Crates. Not to mention it's sometimes unplayable on PC. Invisible tracks, infinite saving bugs when buying cars, ect. The driving is fun, but there's too much BS in the game, and with Turn 10, for me. Luckily I was able to contact Microsoft Support and refund the game on PC. Forza Motorsport 7 really is a Free-2-Play game wrapped in a AAA price-tag.

I don´t think Forza 7 is an improvement to Forza 6, in fact they dumbed down the physics so it almost handles like in Horizon. But hey, al least right now they haven´t added microtransactions with real money to their loot boxes bs

There is really no point in going from FM6 to FM7, right? It seems like it's more arcade...ish, than ever. More like Horizon, which is a "fun" game, but it's not what I want to see in FM7. I read somewhere that the physics has changed in FM7, to be more like in Horizon. If so, thats really bad, bad news. Yeah, yeah...it's beautiful and so...but the driving experience is the most important - otherwise I can sit and look a painting. I have heard oa lot, yes a LOT of good things about Project Cars 2, and as it seems now, Im leaning towards getting that instead...keeping my FM6.

Update: I bought FM7 on PC today, and I'm super relieved to say I've experienced no performance issues in race whatsoever. I'm currently running an I7 6700 non K with a GTX 1080FE and at 4k maxed out with 8xMSAA I never drop below 60fps even in the rain. Vid on my channel after processing if interested. The only stutters I see are in cut scenes and menu transitions which is super lame considering it's a menu. Annoying yes, but at least there's no performance issues where it matters as far as my spec level goes.

I was looking forward to it but the game is made for e sports players. And I've heard you had to pay a monthly fee just the play online And like others said no Career mode that should be mandatory for a game like that

Driving a fwd up a hill in dubai and going slow and turning the car just plows with understeer and thats at 30mph. The baja trucks on city streets is stupid too. I was like this is cool, but back to what makes a drving game good is driving mechanics. It was icecopiods show

My only argument to what you've said is the 'collector level' requiring you to purchase a bunch of cars you don't care for in order to get the good stuff. I can't speak for the players who purchased the standard edition but if you own the VIP/Gold edition, you'll be given enough cars to get you to Tier 4. I have been playing for less than 4 hours and I have been given several items (and purchased a handful for career mode sake) and I'm already a quarter of the way to Tier 5. Nonetheless, reviews are helpful as always. Keep it up!

I've received a complimentary promo copy of Horizon 3 to my new laptop earlier this year. To this day it's been the one and only game that not only has issues running but flat out refuses to fucking launch on it.

I've been playing this game on PC at all Ultra settings running on an i7 7700K and GTX 1080ti. I have none of these stuttering issues during gameplay. However, during the menus, I do have these issues. That is negligible for me though because I spend the least amount of time in the menus. One things though is sometimes I'm seeing invisible textures while customizing my cars. Also during a race, I decided to drive the wrong direction on the Test Track and the edge of my rims were invisible while traveling in that direction. So yeah there are some goofy graphics issues that are there, but the game is better smooth and I would still say it's a buy on PC. But also don't forget, whether you buy it on PC or Xbox, you still have it on both. So if you have both a PC and and Xbox, there's no reason not to buy it. If you just have a PC, maybe then you should wait. Even still, I don't think it's reason enough to wait based on what I've experienced.

Why is it so hard to control your car in Forza 7? In Forza 6 I drove a Hellcat and it was so hard to control it in the game... very fake. I own a Hellcat in real life and it is way more easier to control than it is in the video game. In Forza 7 I am driving 4 cylinder cars and its very very hard to control them. Why does Forza do this? Maybe I should have bough Project Cars or GranTurismo?
