People also have mentioned how almost all games that come out already have great graphics. It's the gameplay that matters now.

What's so special about the graphics? There's a lot of pop in and low geometric detail. Forza Horizon 5 has much higher geometric density somehow. Looks like it doesn't use the next gen featureset such as Sampler Feedback and Mesh Shading, which is a damn shame. The RT reflections are cool though and a step up from before.

Instead of driving smarter, better lines and more agressively, the AI would just break realism to stay competitive. So that one 458 Italia would just burn off 5 turns ahead of everyone else before you could even work your way to the front.

As iRacing has proven over the years, graphics aren’t that important for a racing game. It needs to feel like you are in control, needs to feel like you are progressing as a driver and you don’t need to be given a new car every race. I hope there is more focus on wheel players and vr compatability. Forza has been a pioneer with vehicle customization, tuning and an introduction to sim-like play. Please dont let us down... If Forza Horizon is a sim-cade, let Motorsport be the sim we all have been waiting for. Suspension geometry, tire deformation, steering degrees by vehicle, assists by vehicle (a.b.s., t.c., s.c., transmission type, etc.). The biggest let down is when i choose a vehicle and the game lets me change rear camber on a solid differential... Please dont be that guy... Again, this is coming from a poor guy that can only afford to drive a v8, 6 speed sequential, spool equipped miata in his dreams... And in Forza... Thank you T10 and company..

Graphically this looks impressive and I understand these types of videos need to be released to show them off but I'm REALLY hoping they release a similar video going in depth on what we will actually be able to do in this game. Career mode, car list, customization, activities and more is what is going to make most people want this game not the graphics alone. One thing for me personally is having the process of unlocking / purchasing new vehicles feel more rewarding rather than just getting lucky off a wheel spin although this does work in H5 there's just a better feeling when you know you've worked for something and just makes it more exciting driving your new car around the track knowing you worked hard for it but we also don't want the work to be tedious, it needs to be fun. Really looking forward to this game. What features would you guys like to see come to the new Forza Motorsport?

I’m getting “16 times the details” vibes here from this video. Also dynamic weather and ambient temperature changes??? Yeah R-Factor, Project CARS, Assetto Corsa Competizione and Assetto Corsa with mods has been doing this for 5+ years now. Damage looks exactly the same! “It’s different because we added more scratches to the paint.” Still no body panels coming off or glass shattering or wheels flying off. No mention of physics or anything with tire or suspension models but look at the grass! The mountain rocks! and check out the AWESOME Ferris Wheel!!! The game is literally screaming “F*** you give me money!”

I understand Forza Horizon is a different direction and more casual and i like it that way, but i like my track racing games has sense of progression. - Did you fix the AI? Its bad in previous titles - Customization? Enough with the Forza bumpers and Forza Spoilers, give us at least 3 types of Front, side, rear, spoiler. - Track limits? they're important, to avoid exploits. - Are you targetting mass audience? I hope on this occasion they have included aesthetic changes when a mechanical improvement is made, as in the case of GT7 that when improving the exhaust system also changes the exhaust pipe, and marks for the mechanical components, it is very disappointing to change the entire exhaust system and continue to see the standard exhaust pipe, or change the brakes by "generic" brands without any label, it would be nice to see some Brembo calipers, a turbo or air filters with the brand on the engine bay, branded steering wheels and seats, not only wheels, but also tire options of different brands, that you feel that the car was indeed personalized and tuned to personal taste and that you actually have sponsors, that improves the immersion even more than just improving the graphics or customize the pilots outfit

A couple of suggestions for Turn 10 (i.e., features you should add into the next game): 1) Adjustable Traction Control and ABS settings (you don't need to go full sim, but including more sim features like this would be much appreciated.): Not just like the current "High, ""Medium," and "Off" settings we have currently, but more in-depth, like be able to toggle and control the amount of wheel slippage under either braking or acceleration, and I think a levels system for each would be good (sort of like how Assetto Corsa Competizione does it), like 0 - 10 (0 being completely off, and 10 being the maximum setting, which will be more "intrusive" under braking and acceleration). I think this is a good thing and would go very well with the new tire and suspension models that are coming. This would be very useful. 2) The option to be able to use the clutch independently: I'm not sure if you understand what I mean by this, but like say we're driving a race car with a paddle-shift system, right? Obviously, you don't need to use the clutch for shifting up and down the gears, but you do still have to use it for starting from a standstill and launching the car, if you stall the car and have to restart the engine (clutch in), and also if you spin out, and have have to smoke the tires and spin the car back around. Even, for example, the older GT1 cars, and even the Champ Cars and Indy Cars. The used a sequential stick-shift gearbox, with the manual shifter, but it had a flat-shift system, meaning you didn't have to let off the clutch, and you could just pull the lever back, and boom, you're in the next gear. It would be great to see if you could incorporate something like this into the next Forza game, because currently for the gear shifting options in the settings, we only have "Manual" mode, where you don't have to use the clutch (just press a couple of buttons to go up or down the gears), and "Manual w/Clutch" mode, where you have to use the clutch every time you upshift a car, otherwise you'll miss a gear, and it will bounce off the rev limiter. These even go for like GT cars, sports cars, and modern prototypes race cars, where you have to use the clutch for changing the gears, even though these cars don't have to use it in real life. Once you've gone, you don't need to use the clutch anymore. So it would b great to see that players have a bit more freedom when it comes. I hope it makes sense what I'm saying. Sorry, it's a bit wordy and lengthy. Just a couple of features that I think would be great additions to the next game. Thanks, and I'm a real fan, and I love your games. :)

The graphics are stunning and the Maple Valley overhaul looks spectacular, but the important thing is the gameplay experience rather than whether it looks graphically good or not. I hope it's much more of a simulator than FM7 and doesn't have the FFB issues that the previous Forza had, but I have full faith in this game.

@@Sheigorr So it was worse before? I bought it maybe two years ago, and it was supposed to be the "final" version of FFB, which is bad. I understand that it's a game for everyone and you can play it with a gamepad, but with a steering wheel it's not a good experience. And in this game I hope it's better. The other thing is that too much "good graphics" requires very good equipment, I hope it's not like ACC, that if you have a mid-range equipment it doesn't run. But I have all the faith in the world, I hope it's a great game.

I can’t see them replicating the garbage fire of avarice that is GT7 - which is basically a free-to-play game at this point with a full price tag - due to the huge backlash that game has deservedly received

Sorry to nerd out but the BMW M8 GTE is a flatplane twin turbo V8 that does not sound like an rumbling V8 as it does in the game. Also, carbon fiber body panels don't dent, they crack. This attention to detail matters in AAA games.

I play a fair amount of racing sims and for me I care a lot less about the environment but more about how accurate the car handles to it's real life vehicle. ACC doesn't have a lot of cars but it does such a good job with physics and tracks it feels believable and you also can play in VR if you choose. I would like more of that than pretty scenery.

They said they overhauled it, I would imagine it’s a bit better than the last game but I don’t think anyone is expecting anything close to assetto corsa COMPETITION ZONE. Looks like it will be a cool game for casuals like me.

the foliage upgrade is obvious but it lacks some subsurface scattering on those trees. their geometry is more complex than gt7 but end up looking kind of less stunning as a result. I don't play either but that's what i feel; the seamlessness of the experience though is remarkable imo
