Having discovered the name of the big bay to North of Robin Hood's Bay - where I've discovered many rock falls and fossils - I've returned armed with a helmet wanting to find more great Yorkshire fossils (ammonites and bone) from the Middle Lias.
For the geology of the area check out: earthwise.bgs....

I started taking my hard hat as well after your video, it definitely sent a message!

I had considered cutting the rock hitting me out from the previous video in the pursuit of “perfect” collecting but thought highlighting the safety issue was far more important. Hopefully saves someone from worse

Looked like a very successful hunt. I enjoy the recap at the end where you group your finds and show them again as sometimes with you being out and showing them the light can effect how much detail you see. I'll look forward to the before and after prep. Pleased to see that although the cliffs were very active you weren't harmed this time. Looking forward to your next video

It was a good hunt. I have had a lot of success there recently. Lots of falls means lots of finds (and lots of risks from the cliffs). As for the video recaps, I know some of my avid viewers like them, but I also have the biggest drop in viewer numbers at the end of the hunts. Probably why most channels have a check out this awesome fossil segment at the end. What I was thinking about is doing a live video for the recap to show off the finds and maybe a bit of prep (which is available afterwards for watching anyway), and then a separate "before/after" style for the nicest prepped fossils.

@dinoskool I'll just enjoy whatever content you do 😆 I've been bitten by the fossil bug now so whether it's a hunt, prep or a tour of finds/collection I enjoy it.

Yeah it’s definitely addictive, and I can think of far worse ways to spend hours of your time. The prep stuff might become the expensive part of the habit though 😂

@dinoskool 🤣 for sure, but first I need to get good at preparing. I'm hoping to build my own blast box so that I'm not so limited with the time I can spend prepping 🤞

I've been poor about not taking them on hunts previously. After a close call and knowing how active Far Jetticks is with falls at the minute, it was a definite requirement.

I always do because you never know. But the amount of people that go right under the cliffs is unbelievable

Hey Andrew, what a great day for you! Just wondering, with your videos can you add a map of the sides (where to start, where to go down and come back etc) possibly options for parking?

I promised my son when I'll take him next time, he'll be able to find some dacs - trying to get him into it.

I can definitely try to add that. With regards to far Jetticks, I would suggest walking from Robin Hoods Bay. There is a map showing the layers and the cut off points linked in the description. You can park in the lots at RHB which are all pay and display
