I have three Irish Grandparents and one Scottish. I was raised in Edinburgh and was flabbergasted when a Priest stopped me at the door and told me I couldn’t join the Irish dancing class because I wasn’t Irish. My surname was Kelly, my Grandparents surnames were Mc Namara and Mannion. The Scots didn’t abandon me. I joined their dancing class
