Foster Brooks was a clean comedian. Clean comedy is the most difficult to perform. Today the attempt is to pass vulgarity off as comedy. If it wasn't for the F word many comedians would be out of work. In my opinion Foster Brooks was an exceptional comedian.

Was on a plane once... and he was on same plane... and he came on the speaker as the (drunk as hell) pilot ..telling us all about the flight and where we MIGHT be going... "I guess we'll find out when we get there. Your guess is as good as mine" ! Too funny. Everyone was laughing. He comes out and shakes everyone's hands. Great guy. Can you imagine that today ? Oh, he'd be sued for "psychological distress" or some stupid thing.

What a funny, funny man. Foster never forgot his hometown, Louisville, Ky. For many years Foster hosted a Pro-Am Golf Tournament here in Lou. for a local Children's Hospital. Movie stars, TV stars, Music stars and politicians showed up every year. Bob Hope, Roy Clark, Johnny Bench, Arnold Palmer, Pres. Gerald Ford the list could go on and on. The Tournament drew 15 to 20,000 people every year.
