Gemini200 vs IF200 United 737-800

I actually find the Gemini Satdome to be more realistic since for whatever technical reason, the Satdomes United runs on their 737s are a lot flatter than a normal satdome

You are absolutely correct. At the time I didn’t realize that on their 737NG’s, United used the flat dome. Every other plane they fly has the taller one.

I knew that they were being released roughly the same time. I picked the Inflight because of the magnetic landing gears , as you mentioned , plus the stand has the metal plaque with airline name, aircraft type etc. It's nice to see both models , and your excellent knowledge. Well done.

I noticed the the tail fin on the inflight is not as narrow at the top as the Gemini model

Can’t believe that there are 1:400 scale models that are better than these two molds but it’s true. Maybe NG has a better mold. We’ll see

OMG 5:00 Thank you for saving me!!! Thank god I never made the mistake of spending $ on InFlight. After what I see at 5:00 , I'm embarrassed for anyone whose given them a penny. What is wrong with the Rudder? The Paint? The Printing? The Mould? YUCK!!!

I'm new to all of this and this might be a very dumb question but is it possible to "retract" the landing gear? I mean it doesn't look bad at all, but what if I want a version with a retracted landing gear?

the gear comes off and then they have a piece that sticks up into the wheel spot that looks like the gear is up.

Idk man the gemini200 looks more realistic. the inflight nose and cockpit window looks weird.

Nice, I like these both as well. I generally prefer Inflight200, however, Gemini200 is getting back again. I do some of these reviews as well, feel free to check some out sometime!

I think Gemini mould has a better nose and tail shape and inflight is better for the rest.

I personally am not a fan of the metal inflight uses. It is much lighter then jc-wings and Gemini. Even though they look just as good or better, they feel cheaper. I only have one newer inflight model and it has balancing issues because of it.

Alexandr Larson actually the InFlight model is heavier than the Gemini one. I’ve never had any issue with the IF metal.

5:00 , rudder on right detail = garbage. Worse than a plastic toy.

@@1200AirportMakers 5:00 Makes me think InFlight ripped off somebody, made a mould of a released model, and didn't even take the time to properly engrave the master copy of the copy. Thats the very first thought. Second is they used too much paint and it filled the detail. Niner niner super amateur. But hey, I like way more detail than most so... factor that in I guess.

In 1/200 I mainly have Gemini Models and one JC Wings model, a 757-200 and this one feels REALLY lightweight compared to the Gemini ones. This 757-200 in fact is a lot lighter than my Gemini 200 MD-88 (~270 Grams compared to ~330 Grams) ... This makes the model feel a bit cheaper as well.
