Do you prefer Fosters WTC proposal over what stands today?

Yes I do mainly because the current design was stolen (although I would say it’s a cool design to the person who came up with the original design) but also I hate the big dumb spire. This is a more original design and they look very dominating as well. What I really don’t like though is how they don’t look like twin towers at 1:16 because seeing twin towers behind the Empire State Building from Rockefeller looked very iconic.

This design always felt funky. I like its prominence but a bit overstimulating in the skyline.

How many designs were entered for the WTC location? Btw, have u guys seen all the activity around the J.R. Thompson center? Far more than the 400 LSD or Tribune East tower. Maybe google is doing more than renovations.
