Hey Fouad, Today was rough for me. I was laid off along with 100 of my companies employees today. Just wanted to say listening to this pod has cheered me up and made me feel more hopeful for my future. I think you are absolutely right about the clean food and IBS! This entire year, I have been having insane problems with my stomach, with the doctors thinking I may have Crohns. I have removed any markers from my diet: stims, artificial Sweetners, eggs, nut butter, dairy, etc. I literally eat as plain as it comes. I’ll drink a glass of water and SPRINT to the restroom. This past weekend, I decide to say “screw it!” And ate pizza, cookies, chips, decaf coffee, and an egg sandwich. My stomach was the best it’s been all year! I went back to my chicken, rice and oil meal, immediate problems with my IBS. I do t know what it is, but I do believe you may be correct!

Regarding the posing round, Milos explains that while it's judged on physique it's an opportunity to pose your strengths and don't have to do certain mandatory poses that might be your weakness. It's up to the competitor to choose poses that make him look best and an opportunity to improve their scores.

B&Bollocks is like ‘the Office’ it’s funny and everyone is so courteous and light-hearted, but BRO CHAT is like ‘The Sopranos’/‘Breaking Bad’. I think the conversation of main income provider into the house is an interesting one. I am a chiropractor so I make decent money but if my wife (who is also a clinician) came home and said she would be making more than me I would have zero problem. I would actually see that as a blessing because then I can maybe work less hours here and there and fill in more at home and get more time with my children. On the other side of that coin I know plenty of men who absolutely would not do that.

This convo on 40:13 on your wife making more than you is on point- my wife is a veterinarian and I’m a teacher - she makes 2.5 times what I do- so I joke I’m a trophy husband- but we knew this would be the case when she was in vet school- the idea that we both love what we do is president and is what we value the most- we know we both work hard- and we split chores and I do more things when I’m off work and we both contribute to the collective pot of our home to make things happen it’s all about how you check your egos at the door.

Ian ur friend knows how to make it work...eat essential meals in the morning and afternoon and go to town in the evening on meat & rice. Love it! I'm training with a light stomach but drive performance bc I have glycogen storage from the previous evening ( to Ian's point 👉...also gives you flexibility to calorie control in that last meal). Eat a 3600 calorie meal or just a 2500 calorie meal?

A good idea imop would be to judge a posing round with a scoring system of a 1(excellent) 2(good) 3(average). Obviously lower the score the better. It would be a good way of getting more competitors to really work on they're posing routine without a scoring system that will effect placings too much. It would really only affect really close placings. If some guy is winning a show by only 1 point, that is where a posing round score could effect him winning.

Regarding women's roles in today's society, it would be nice if women were stay at home mom's, doing house upkeep, and being able to have nice dinners for their families after the husband's long day at work. However, there are positives and negatives to both sides of this discussion. I think children would have a much better/stable upbringing having that parent around continually to be able to help them with homework, the disciplinary aspect, and the side of family nurturing being present as well among other positives. The downside to it is today's economy. It seems to be common that both parents have to work in order to provide for their family, pay the bills, and hopefully be putting money away in savings as well. Granted, this is talking about the average working couple, not where the husband makes 6 figures per year. In my opinion, I think this is why a lot of youth have issues because they don't have the parent at home to help them when needed, whether it be for school studies or talking about important issues. In my own perspective, I am in law enforcement and work very long hours. My husband runs a large trucking company and works long hours as well. By the time we get home at night, we are both exhausted from work. I am the one who cooks 24/7, but we both share responsibilities of the house chores together. Would I love to be able to stay home and make amazing dinners and do all the house chores 24/7 so my husband wouldn't have to lift a finger to do so?...sure, but then I would feel like crap for not helping him in the financial sense considering my mom always told me it takes both partners to provide financially for a family to alleviate stress off the one party. In another aspect of being a stay at home housewife, I probably would feel more giving of myself for "spicy time" if I wasn't so tired and vice versa for my husband as well. Overall, I don't think there is a definite answer for either one of housewife vs. working wife only because there are varying differences in each situation to some degree.

On the posing routine scoring/criteria -- it would be interesting to see individual shows have a different of "pool of poses" that is required. Such as 12 weeks out the show releases the criteria so that athletes have to create something new/unique for the show they wish to compete at. Can't go from the Arnold to Tampa to NY pro hitting the same exact posing routine.
