J & G the portable wrist strap [at 4:25 ] is used to ground between electrical equipment and your body since your body generates a small amount of electricity it can damage delicate electrical components and the ground nullifies the current.

FYI, classical records are all about the label. Audiophiles pay top dollar for good ones, but the disks MUST BE in NM condition. That boxed set of Liszt is on Philips which is a quality label. Deutsche Grammophon is another one (Mendelssohn), especially the older ones with blue and white tulips around the label border. You can pretty almost name your price for British Decca pressings, but they the don't turn up often here. London FFR and EMI are the other English pressings to look for. From the USA, early Mercury and RCA Red Seal are sought after.

I believe all the reel to reel tapes are Broadway plays/musicals and a couple of recorded symphonies by famous conductors. There might be some reel to reel rock and roll too. If they are in good condition (playable) they will be worth a bit of change. The records are all very collectable including the classical music. In good condition you will make bank. See if you have a "Plato's Closet" (vintage clothes and other stuff is sold there) I'd call and see if they know of a seller you could use to buy or resale the records.

@23:59 The steel wheat cent looks like it has an S mint mark. It’s worth a dollar. You also have an Indian head, two mercury dimes, a barber dime, and 2 type 2 buffalo nickel. The dimes are all 90% percent silver. If you can get your hands on some Nik-A-Date, you can use it to reveal the date on the messed up buffalo nickel. It will devalue the coin a little bit with out knowing the date it’s only going to be worth face value. A couple of those silver certificates are in pristine condition and could be worth quite a bit.
@oscaralcaraz35 жыл бұрын
The 1943 steel penny is worth only about 3-5 cents. They are very common. The Indian head penny is worth about $1. The 1908 Barber dime is probably $3-$5 and the 2 Mercury dimes are worth melt. Silver certificates, 1957- $2-$3 and 1934 $4-$7. Buffalo nickel about $1-$2 each
