I totally agree about our fishing areas being closed off, built on!!! I am a native Floridian 56 years. My Mother was also a Florida native. My father was a weekend fisherman, Bank, deep sea and also had a mullet boat. I adore fishing, crabbing, clamming, scalloping, SALT LIFE!! But like you said, our government starting with Rick Scott Now Desantis has sold so much of OUR PUBLIC LAND. I wish we could see where all the money went, Thanks for your videos. I am fishing variously thru you!!!

Are you going to come down to Juno and Jupiter for the mullet run this year. I’d love to take you to New Smyrna/ Ponce Inlet. We catch snook, reds, tarpon, sharks, black drum and others. I night fish at a private dock so no one will bother us. P.S. my PB red from there is 48in.
I was wade fishing in that exact spot a few weeks ago, i never even stepped on land and some security guys from eglin came down and said i couldn't be there, i told them im not on land, then they said since im walking i cant be there but if i was on a boat or kayak i would be okay. I tried to show them the eglin boundary lines on my onX map but they wouldn't look ,they told me if i didnt leave id get a fine or be arrested. Made zero sense to me

I've fished here and even passed here for 8 years. As soon as those signs went up, I got run off by a guy in a truck that was on that structure behind you. They sit up there late in the day. I read on a forum that it's now a $250.00 fine. I don't know if that's true or not. I know that if they see you, they will get run you off.

For navigable waters like this the federal government retains all the rights of access up to the historical highwater line. You have the right to walk along that beach and fish if you have a license. All limitations for keeping fish apply.

On my 13ft surf rod I typically ran 17lb test on her...... Extra Limp Castable line, it does as you say allowing you to feel a lot of the lite biters & big fish can take bait very lite. But in using it you've got to have a good drag & Use It Properly if you wanna get the fish in. But I learned to do this bass fishing where 10lb was the test I used. I had 2 spools w/ 6lb on one & 10 the other. Thanks for sharing that tidbit b/c that's what I've always done. peace

I checked out that new pavillion spot across from opal beach pavillions. I can tell its gonna be nice but seaweed was so bad i didnt bother fishing or cast netting. Seaweed was bad on both sides last week. I think the gov and big resorts are slowly but surely trying to take shore based fishing away.. then when you find a good spot theres parking hassles and park rangers looking at you or questioning you. I got asked if i was out on the beach all night and he looked around at my stuff. I was like no i got here at 5am... i just dont think they want people fishing anymore.
