Been missing Patience' giggle - and Christian and Pepper - awesome to see your team back together - all we need is George there! :) Oh it has been a while since you 3 opened a safe! So good to see you three - just missing George - doing storage unit sort - those who have followed you 4 for a while LOVE to see! I have been sorting through a collection I have of Canadian coins - including Twoonies - and there certainly seems to many variations and values - especially if errors on them. I wonder if all those extra pennies and nickels will fill in the empty spots in the binders you have! My son was born in 1993 - so close in age to Christian and Patience! This is an exciting unit for you all and you still have boxes to go through - pretty sure when a fine tooth sort is done lots more will be discovered! Congratulations!

That jewelry is costume jewelry but expensive. Some of that goes back 90 years ago. My great grandmother used to wear it. What a beautiful set. You know how many people who would want or needs those bubbles for antique radios, and all kinds of things. What a great find.

I noticed some of the radio tubes were branded ken-rad which is short for Kentucky radio. They were a early manufacturer based here in Owensboro ky. In the late 1930's ken-rad was purchased by GE and continued to make tubes until the mid 1980's.

Possible helpful tips for anyone wanting to check used jewelry. Better way to check pearls than putting them in your mouth....you can test pearl strands by rubbing two pearls against each other, real will feel gritty and will scratch the pearls. The scratch on real pearls wipes off. Jewelry markings can be hard to find. Have found them in bail loops on pendents, on the posts of pierced earrings, pierced earring backs, the lever slide of spring ring clasps, the edges of closures...having a loop helps a lot. I got one from online that was around $17...magnification goes up to 90x and has both LED and UV lights. Fits in a pocket. Great to have at yard sales and flea markets too. On the watches, always check the bands...those can be replacements and could be precious metals. Also, the backs can be stainless steel and the fronts be gold or silver.

I’m asking for prayers for my son, his wife, and two daughters. The house they are renting needs to have the ac fixed. But instead of fixing it, they kicked my kiddos OUT. When we went to pick up the deposit today. The lady said they were excellent renters never late on the rent and she was really sorry about having to do this. She also said, good luck on finding a new house. Her name is Julie. She works for the First National Bank main branch in Chickasha Oklahoma.
