* Early on in my game, I use the campfire as a cheap way to store material that won't cook or burn. It helps out a lot when you don't have the skill or right materials to make the boxes. * Also, when I go on long runs for iron, coal, and wood, even if I have the iron tools ability, I still use the stone tools. That way I don't have to haul iron around with me while I'm grinding. I can pick up stone along the way and fix my tools as I continue my resource run. * I like to grab and tame a shaleback early on because it can haul things just like a mount and it can also fight alongside you. * When I get the torch ability I like to carry a standing torch with me so I can use a two-handed weapon or weapon & shield at night time without having to hold a torch. Then when it's dawn, I can just pick it up out of the ground and continue my journey.

Early game, I like building on "Dog Head Island". It is near all sorts of resources and thralls. I call it that because it looks like the head of a dog in the middle of the river.

A little tip is there a low level friend/thrall in a camp near ur base u built u can knock out and they a armor and u can put them in ur tanner bench to make stich hide then put it in tannery to get thick hide.

My favourite place to build is on the side of the volcano road on the ice. There is a little arch passage through but its lava so it will kill you if you don't put foundations down!

I enjoy building bridges so i like to build on the rivers. plus if you build on the water the purge won't spawn right on your base and is more predictable.

My starting base is, just north of the Boss crock at the pond. On your video on iron stone you killed a Kudo. Right there close to the hill that way he still spawns for hide and meat close to stone, close to iron stone, close to thralls, trees. Nice spot. Love your video's by the the way love ya with Neebs Gaming.

I'm really enjoying this Conan Exiles beginner's series. Where were you when I was just starting Conan? 😁

I like building near Stargazer's Crest. In single player it's a great way to get starmetal to spawn. Lots of trees, stone, iron, black ice. Just no brimstone. Early game I like building near Sinner's Refuge. Great place to get crafter tharals. I move up north at around level 25.

My favorite early game location is the plateu across from sinners refuge in G4. Easy access to the guaranteed named thrall spot on the river for fighters and in the cave for artisians.

I recommend G6. build on the river. You are near the Sink Hole Obi, and tons of resources. also, it is really close to center on map, making journeying alot faster.

IMO, the best place to build a starter base is near Iron Breaker Ridge, (B7) just north of Sepermaru, barely south of Klael's Stronghold. There is an absolute orgy of resources there (i.e. wood, iron, coal, fiber, and thralls [in Sepermaru]). You will ruin several picks and axes before you run out of resources. I'm not lying! And serpent eggs. And no enemies nearby. It's amazing!

I like the area you built in. I also like g-h/4.

The green area at the top-center of I1 is a pretty sweet spot for a starter base. Close to a small iron loop, coal, brimstone, etc. And by enemy camps.

I love your videos. I am a new player and there's so much to learn. I subbed of course,you have great content!! Just wanted to ask if you have any video to upgrade your T1 base and build defenses to go through my 1st purge. Thank you so much and keep the great videos coming ❤️

I like to build on the north side of noob river by the sentinels. There is a ledge that overlooks the river and there are plenty of iron nodes nearby if you know where they are. Plus, Sinner's Refuge is just a short walk behind.

Thank you for another installment full of tips. Even with all the hundreds of hours I have played, I always learn something more. To be specific: I didn't know about copying building pieces.

As always great content. Tip: if something doesn't 'snap' the direction you want it in sometimes you can put a different building piece there then replace it to get it right. Other times you may have to remove a different piece and replace it after the difficult piece is already set. My favorite places to build on Exiled Lands: the small round island close to the Sentinels, SE of the Pleasure Place of Derketo out in the water just off the tiny peninsula, just E of the dam there is a cliffside that I like a lot, but my most built place is the plateau between Sep and the Unnamed City. On Siptah I very much like a cliffside that is N of violet isle but always find myself at Eye of Ekim.

Do you get more hide if you strip the reptile hide then change it to leather or is it the same as placing it directly into the tanner?
@comotastu10 ай бұрын
personally, i like H6 to build a foreign legion style fort, a little to the south of the colisseum pillar, close to the savana, straight shot to the jungle, coal and iron nearby, not that far from sinners refuge and lots of hyenas and impalas for meat, water will be an inconvenience until you get a well, but other than thar you are pretty much set on a difent topic, have you teasted the effectivenes of the battle pass bases?, the ones on the art i mean, i think those could make good starter or sub bases (a guy on reddit built the sandstone one and i think its pretty cool)

TIL - after 9 months of playing this game - you can drop pelts right into the Tannery and not convert them to hides first on the Table. :O

But you get more hide/tar if you split them

Dont forget to remind them that building on Noob River you have to beware of the sandstorm.
@wak486310 ай бұрын
Pretty sure I mentioned that in episode 2.
