Hi Abby - wow you sure had a lot on your face - I have been using that foundation for a well over a couple of years now and love it but it takes a tiny 'blob' to cover the face (haven't finished your review) and I find the concealer is a tad dark for the foundation (I'm in Pure Ivory, much lighter than you but oddly on the screen we look very similar in color) and you really have to warm it up before applying - I think they could do without the concealer - but really like the foundation particularly in the winter months. I am not fond of using a brush with it as it is thickish - but the BB works like a charm - for me. I don't think you should apologize for buying this foundation - this is what people who want to buy same - need to see - I'm glad to see as there are not too many reviews out there about it - particularly when I first started using it. I think the color is pretty good on you so far - it's a tad difficult to get an exact shade of LP - and the scent of their products in general is not one I like - hence I cannot use - there are a lot of people who don't use LP for that very reason. Another good one is the Cle de Peau Radiant Cream (the one in the tube) - it's a bit lighter and really nice.

Elaine- I certainly did! I use it the next day with a lighter hand and a beautyblender and it turned out beautiful. LOL! I have been intrigued byt the Cle De Peau Radiant Cream as well. Do you know if it has a strong fragrance to the CDP one? Everyone has different ways they spend their money and I a total skincare/beauty junkie and should just live up to the fact! @@AbbyBlissWhite I'm so with you there in the skincare/beauty junkie category - too much - but you are very right, everyone has their indulgences and that for sure is very high on my list - I'm also a 'jump to fast' purchaser - gotta have whatever, very quickly - the 'stuff' I have here almost makes me ill ;-0 The CDP Radiance Cream Foundation (I tried 'The Foundation and it was a little on the thick side - I much prefer the tube, very nice) does not have much of a scent at all - actually the worst for me is LP products - the creams which you have probably dabbled in are the worst - I cannot get past that scent. The foundation oddly doesn't bother me - I also really really like the Essence in Caviar foundation - I reach for it often. I will say, I'm having a few issues (here I go again) with the application of the Atelier foundation - thank God I have a daughter who is turning out to be a good little junkie too..............she gets a pile of my stuff. I have two bottles of this in different shades. Absolutely love it! So don’t feel bad for spending some money on it😉 When I was having skin issues, this was the only foundation I could wear. Xo!

Don't worry, La Prairie Make-Up has always been made in the U.S. (formulated in Switzerland though). Their skincare is made in Switzerland.

Hi Abby. I think it looks lovely on your skin. Color looks great on my screen. I have this foundation and love it for my mature skin. I also love the La Mer foundation, which tends to be my go to most days. I'm not a fan of fragrance either, but found that the La Prairie does dissipate fairly quickly on me . Hope you continue to enjoy it!

I actually have to say- I loved it the next day when I used a lighter hand and blended it in with a beautyblender. It was so pretty and natural. I am a big fan of this foundation as well. A little really goes a long way, the bootle seems to last forever. I also love La Prairie Anti Aging foundation. It has been discontinued but I have managed to get a few bottle from Harrods online. I do alternate with Cle De Peau The Foundation. All of these foundations are truly wonderful for mature skin and give a flawless finish especially for special occasions or events. Just for everyday the Westman Atelier is great , as is all their products!

I am a huge fan to the Westman Atelier for day to day and have been curious about the CdP The Foundation. I admit - I love the BOTTLE. I did purchase the Chanel Sublimage Teint that also has a very nice finish but I find it better for day-to-day wear. xoxo

I find the CDP The Foundation is very similar to the Sublimage with maybe a little bit more coverage. Get a sample of The Foundation and see if you like it. What I have found is these high priced foundations really go a long way. I have put on my WA foundation and just on my cheek area have blended in The Foundation or La Prairie. It just adds a bit of dewiness and hydration. it was trick a makeup artist taught me.

I wore this foundation on my wedding day years ago. It was flawless- so much so my pictures were untouched. While gorgeous, it was a little high maintenance. I’ve been on the fence about trying it again, hmm.

Liz Graham- I totally understand. I am wearing it today and I do think it is a beautiful foundation BUT I also am finding that the new technology foundations out today are just as lovely! I just have wanted it for YEARS and it truly is beautiful... but you can buy several really nice foundations for the price of this one : ( . Hello Lisa! It is SO NICE to meet you! And thank you for the suggestions. I have yet to try the Benefit Hello Happy or Mirenesse Collagen Cushion but have been intrigued. I do love the Westman Atelier - but I have dry skin so am wondering if that is why it is not making me oily. I do find that it is not lasting ALL day long but at least does not completely break up and look terrible by end of day either. Let me ponder the SATIN FINISH question and yes, that would be a great video. I am ALWAYS on the HUNT for SKINLIKE foundations. THANK YOU!
