If you have normal to dry skin this foundation does last all day. For me, applying with fingers gives a really nice smooth finish without sinking into my pores. Love it. Interesting to see it on a different skin type though. Definitely a different experience.

I began using the Rimmel foundation in late January of this year because I have quite dry skin and the winter weather was making my dry skin worse. I fell in love with this foundation! I used it until around Memorial day, when it became warmer here in NE Ohio, and I switched to the IT cc cream. I just switched back to the Rimmel foundation this past weekend. I feel that this foundation looks the best on your skin out of all the foundations you tested. You can't beat the price!! I have good luck with Rimmel foundations. I also have the Stay Matt and it looks good too applied with a sponge. Their powders work wonderful too.

I love this series because I'm always on the quest for the perfect foundation. After trying several of the new ones at Sephora, I found a great one at the drugstore. My new favorite is the L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation. I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as I do!

Thank you Angie Love Rimmel I have 2 different ones and love them both I have dry skin and I think it looks great. I think it depends what you apply before it on lasting capabilities I wear BB cream first and it last all day for me at work, from 9.00am to 8.30 pm it amazes me when I get home from work my foundation looks great but the rest of my makeup is all but gone. Hi Angie! I apply this foundation with primer, BB sponge and setting powder too. One thing I've been doing is using 75% Rimmel mixed with 25% Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. The Chanel is too dewy for me, but mixing it with this Rimmel gives me a good finish. Love your videos!

I have tried the Rimmel foundation. I prefer a heavy coverage & went for it. I had terrible polka dot face after going for full coverage. I then tried as you suggested going for. Sheer coverage; worked great. TFS

I think you look great in this foundation. I use this foundation and love it in the winter time as I do wear it as full coverage but I like a slight and ever so slight dusting of powder over it like Milani multitasking powder, or Rimmel stay matte powder. And I don't have a 15x mirror yet I do plan on getting one until then I stay out of high powered mirrors. Many hugs and blessings that you continue to help us out with our mature makeup. Pat

I know this is an old video but I want to tell you that my trick with this foundation is to mix it with my Maybelline Dewy & Smooth (I also like it better in medium/sheer coverage, doesn't settle into my fine lines too badly) causing it to be less drying but still holds a bit of staying power. And I set it will the tiniest bit of powder. And I like the color that the two foundations mixed creates for my skin tone.

I appreciate your thoroughness reviewing this foundation. However, it all sounds like a totally different foundation than the Rimmel 25hr. foundation I've been using the past several months. I've even started on my second bottle & bought a backup! I'd love a pump! I know we all have different skin types, etc. Several things you mentioned about this foundation are just the opposite for me, for instance, I'm sensitive to anything I can 'feel' on my face & this foundation is like I'm not wearing any. This is the only foundation I own that doesn't transfer to my phone. I love that it doesn't transfer onto my clothes & I don't sweat it off like others. I guess the longest I've worn this foundation in a day would probably be 16 hrs & compared to other foundations I've worn this one looked great. I have combo to dry skin so that could be a factor in my results. As for my pores, the skincare products I use have helped with that plus I use the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye pores pressed powder. I've really enjoyed this series & appreciate all the work you put into your videos. Hope you have a great weekend! xoDebbie

This is the only drugstore foundation that works for me. Like you, I get the best coverage using a damp sponge. It doesn't settle in my pores and it's so hard to find a foundation that doesn't do that. Plus, you can't beat the price! The only foundation that I have found so far that is better is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream, which I know you love too. I really love your reviews- thanks so much!

Other than rather also having a pump, i really love this foundation! What's funny too is i usually will seek out a product after hearing about it 1st but with this one i just kind of came upon it 1 day. I decided to take a chance and ended up very pleased. At 1st, it was my fav ds foundation but then it got knocked out of #1 by the loreal infallible matte.

I have this and like it but more for the winter. I've been using the Garnier BB cream and it evens out my skin tone pretty well. That's for my no makeup makeup days. When I go to work I put on Maybeline Fit Mit (not the matte). This 60 year old needs all the moisture and dewiness she can get!

The Rimmel Lasting Finish is my fave foundation. In order to get a bit more coverage from it, I apply with my Sigma F80 brush first, then go over it with a beauty blender sponge to smooth it out and get rid of any streaks. Here in Canada, it comes with a pump tho! Another foundation I really like is the L'Oreal Visible Lift serum absolute.

i love that you added how it looks in the sun, i have those "natural lights" mirror and it helps a lot but still, sometimes going out i have totally different foundation color outside , and by then its mostly too late to change it also i have x8 mirror, love it for tweezing my eyebrows etc but because of this i am a lot more critical about my foundation that might look great 10 cm from my face but when i put my face very close to that side of mirror... the horror! keep up the good work, love watching your videos :)

Thank you for another thorough and excellent review! I wanted and tried to love this one but it appeared so cakey and felt pretty heavy on my skin...also looked bit greasy within a couple of hours, and my skin is a bit dry. I so agree about a more sheer look as our skin gets more mature. I'm still anxiously awaiting for your thoughts on the Loreal original True Match foundation. It's the only one I can find (at any price) that I can wear sheer to full and looks virtually undetectable on my face...even in my 15x mirror! Our skin is very similar and I'll bet you'll love it, too! :-) Had to giggle at polka dot pores...haven't heard that one. Looking forward to next time. Thanks again!

Hi Angie, foundations like mascara's is so difficult. What one person loves another may hate. It all depends on the canvas your working with no matter what your age. I will share with you what I've been using these past almost 3 weeks and am loving. I broke down and purchased bliss 'stay'cation in the color natural ( could have used buff) but I can make the natural work. I like it using it with my Sigma flat top but works just as nice with my beauty blender or even fingers but I prefer the brush. For me, it makes my skin look flawless and it builds on itself well without being cakey. You might just want to give it a whirl the next time you're at a Kohl's or get a sample. Again, I love....on me. Can't guarantee anyone else will feel the same. That's just the nature of these I guess.

You are so right about the amount of light shades lol, never have I had that problem before when I had to decide from about 4 light shades, I have #010 Light Porcelain and #091 Light Ivory and really could use one darker ; ) In Canada we have a pump, but no where on the bottle do I see any sunscreen, interesting how they do that. For me it is a nice light-medium moisturizing coverage, the scent is very light and pleasant compared to say my stand by Revlon Colorstay that smells like chemicals. You should try the AmorePacific Moisture bound tinted moisturizer!! IT'S FABULOUS! It's sold at Sephora and Nordstroms! It has medium coverage and it wears well on skin. A little goes a long way too! ( I also use Retin - A and it works well on my skin!)

Yay Thanks for reviewing this one. I recommended it a couple of months ago. Nice to hear it doesn't settle in the Old lines/wrinkles. Nothing worse than that. Some say it has a strong smell. Did you find that? There are two more popular Rimmel foundations. Match Perfection and Wake Me Up. Might end up liking these as well. Bonus- They're drugstore.

Thank you for the review ! I personally do not like this type of foundation anymore. I remember using this type in the 70's or 80's to cover my imperfections. I like easy foundations that a quick fix in morning before work. Now I am using Josie Maran Protect & Perfect which I like. I just go a sample of Almay Smart Shade, its not bad. Easy apply and its like a liquid unlike other foundations in this type of container.

Hi Angie! After trying LOTS AND LOTS of samples I have found my holy grail. First ,Laroche-Posay Hydraphase spf30...Then Smashbox clear primer...then LISE WATIER Age Control Serum (fondation in a pump bottle). Hope you can have it in the US. I am 67, been using "05 and .01" tretinoin cream every night for the last 20 years (stieva).Light as air with good coverage and stays put through gym. What else can I ask for??? Plus, Lise Watier is a real woman, head of her own cosmetics firm.Great!

Angie I think it looks beautiful on your skin. I also tried it and it made me break out. " It " makes me break out too. Im not sure whats in them that causes that. I think my fav foundation has to be Estee Lauder double wear. I would love to find that 1 drug store foundation that I love.

Good video Angie, although I would have liked to have seen how the Real Techniques Stipple brush would have worked rather than the dense brush you selected to use. I find that the stipple brush is best on mature skin.

Thanks for this thorough review I just picked it up today and I guess they’ve improved it , cuz mine has a pump , but no spf 🤔 I’m nearly 40 and always use a setting spray never a powder I’m afraid of them but with the spray’s it’s always tacky and transfers off Which powder can u recommend ? Also , have u tried the Dior Airflash spray foundation ? If so, do u have a video on it ? Would love to know how it wears It’s SO expensive but I am trying everything ! My foundation is starting to move around , even with a primer My skin is not so forgiving anymore , and it seemed to happen Almost overnight 😖😖 Your thoughts are appreciated Great video 👌🏻

Its a liquid mousse foundation with shine control. I like this foundation. I find with myself it wears differently depending on your moisturizer. I'm sure there's better out there, but for the price and the fact that it wears well for me at work ( I'm a waitress and all that running around is hard on your makeup) .I get home and it still looks good. now if I could just get my eye makeup to hold up.....Thanks for the review
