Foundation Wear Test | 5 NEW Drugstore Foundations

A foundation wear test with 5 new drugstore foundations ... well, some are new and some aren't as "new" as some might like, but I've not ever tried them :) These drugstore foundations are in a variety of different coverages including sheer, medium and full coverage. I'll show you how each of these apply and what they look like after wearing them all day for 8-10 hours ... are these good drugstore foundations for oily skin? Or will the dry skin beauties take the cake?

Save yourself and don't get the wet n wild h2o proof, it's absolutely horrible. Yes it's comes out to be very black and matte looking if that's the look you're going for but I absolutely regret buying it. It always ends up being smeared on the top of my lid and it never completely drys. I've heard the other eyeliner that wet n wild sells (which is the regular one) is so much better :)

Ana Molina Really? I hate that eyeliner too, but for a different reason! I could NOT get that eyeliner off of my eyes. It literally took 3 or 4 days to fully get the liner off of my eyes!! I have oily, watery eyes too.

Thank you so much for doing this! I watch KZbin videos where the girls claim to have oily skin and rave about these foundations, then I try them and they're awful. it's good to see someone with actual oily skin try them. I thought I was the only one who didn't love the Pro matte one. Drove me crazy that it transferred to my baby's clothes too, which is something to keep in mind when you have a baby in your arms constantly.

Just want to say thank you for this video and others like it! I do most of my shopping - for everything - at Walmart, in-store and online. Product reviews are so helpful to me. Even though the "drugstore" products are inexpensive, buying products that don't work IS expensive. So, thanks again.

The Pro-Glow worked a lot better for me than the Pro-Matte. I have oily skin, but I can roll with a satin/natural finish. I powdered it and it wore very gracefully. I'd try it, but understandable if you still don't want to.

It doesn't! I have a lot of lines around my mouth, because I'm a 'frowner' and it looks really good. That's what I liked about it more than the matte because it didn't look textured at all. And, it did stay all day and not cake up like the matte one.

I love the Pro-matte from L'Oreal. I also have oily skin, so I use an oil control primer and setting spray with it and it stays fairly matte on me through the day.

I think my perfect match is Revlon's photo finish. I'm fair skinned (older) with pink undertones and red hair with brown eyes. This foundation has been wonderful to my skin and seems to really last through the day. You might like it. i have the most difficult time finding the right color!

I like the L'Oreal pro matte. it sits nicely on my skin without clumping funny. I have combo skin with dry lower face and oily forehead so it seems to cope OK with both. I don't like the pro coverage one though it's SUPER matte

I love your foundation tests and review. I have combination to oily skin so your videos are the most helpful to me compared to most KZbinrs I watch. I have tried some foundation people have enjoyed, but they end up not working on me. Thanks for your in depth and honest reviews. My favorite drugstore foundation is the Wet and Wild Photo Finish one. It seems to last the best on me. I have trouble with foundation staying under my nose and that one does well. I only need to powder or blot once. I use a pour minimizing primer and the Milani matte setting spray.

I loved this video. You always look so beautiful and classy. I have oily but mature skin that gets dehydrated sometimes so it can be tricky to find a foundation that stays matte and doesn't break up or slide around. I liked the Milani one, but it still did get shiny after a few hours. I love clinique beyond perfecting and my favorite is Estee Lauder double wear. Even with those, I get shiny at some point unless I use only seems and sunscreen (Dr Jart) under them instead of a heavier moisturizer.

I have combo skin, and I LOVE the L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow foundation. I use a oil controlling primer on my t-zone, and the Becca Backlighting Primer on the rest of my face. I then use the L'Oréal Total Coverage foundation on my t-zone applying with a damp beauty sponge. I use the pro-glow on the rest of my face applying with a buffing brush. I lightly set my t-zone with the Bare Minerals bareskin Perfecting Veil, and apply a setting spray. I wear these foundation more than my high end, with the exception of the Make Up For Ever Water Blend foundation. I rotate between the two. I receive compliments every time I wear these foundations, and they last a full day in the humid Tennessee heat.

I am am oily girl, and I love to see KZbinrs try out possible foundations for oily skin. There is one foundation that I love that I always go back to because I get ZERO oil breakthrough with it, it is super long-wearing, and it does not break out my super sensitive and acne prone skin, even when I wear it over twelve hours. I highly recommend trying the Almay TLC foundation if you haven't already. It might just be my goldilocks foundation, but it's certainly worth a try. The only issue I have with it is the shade range. I do have to mix "buff" and "neutral" to get my perfect shade, but I love this stuff!

Love the ELF makeup in the square bottle! It wears beautifully and didn't feel like makeup on my skin. Comes off as more liquid so I put a touch more on my cheeks but by the end of the day I had no shine (after using powder lightly and mattifying setting spray). Highly recommend if you can find your shade as there are not as many of a shade range but Sand Was a perfect match. I've seen one KZbinr wear it and her skin looked flawless as did mine and I'm oily skin type even into my early 60's. As good as Wet n Wild foundation which I love for about the identical price point!

My favourite setting powder is the Becca Translucent Blotting Powder Perfector. I have dry skin except on my forehead, nose, and under eye which are very oily, and this keeps me matte all day. I use the included puff and pat it on firmly into those areas (not a brush, which doesn't have the same effect). I suggest trying it!

Great video! I have combo skin, so trying to find the right foundation is a challenge. To make things even more interesting, I travel weekly to high humidity from low/very little humidity. So I get SUPER oily in the t-zone and normal on the rest of my face in FL, but oily-ish in the t-zone and dry on the cheeks in UT. I tried the L'Oreal infallible pro-glow and it totally broke down around the nose. Looked great everywhere else. love it for my skin in UT. Haven't found the right foundation for my FL days.

I have super oily skin too and I have much better wear time with the pro glow. It works great for oily skin in my opinion, where the pro matte breaks up around my nose horribly by the end of the day. My all time favorite though for now is the wet n wild photo focus. I have 6 or 7 bottles and several different shades because I just love it that much. It has great coverage, does the look carry and wears amazingly. It is one of the very few foundations I have tried that doesn't break up around my nose, so I also use it to mix in with other foundations that don't wear as well. The combination is great and improves the wear time for me on other foundations.
