I agree, but this is not the first time something like this has happened. When Adrian Rogers took over the SBC in 1987, he had to right the ship in the SBC. This can be corrected but it is going to take churches to start sending delegates and being active in the SBC. If things keep getting worse though, I do agree.

Very informative brothers, about what happened at the convention...and why it is important to keep solid churches, faithful to God's Word, active in the SBC. Sometimes we forget how a wrong belief can quickly spread & affects people all over the country, and in this case the world. As Christians we are called to guard the truth of the scriptures. Love how y'all always point us to God's standard. Theology matters, in ALL of our life! May you always be faithful in your work for our Lord🙌🙏❤

We should all be in prayer over these things and seeking out what God would have us to do in such a time as this.

These are the reasons I am leaving the SBC of which I have been a member since 1 week old . I can not put myself under the spiritual authority of these who so clearly ignore the teaching of scripture and Jesus Christ himself. I would rather follow God than men. I am praying, but leaving with a grieved and heavy heart.

Good point on not simply being positive. Not only are 80% of the 10 commandments negative (thou shalt not) but 1 Corinthians 13 on love, 8 of the 15 verbs of loving action declare what love does NOT do.

The question to all of us is whom will we serve: If it be Baal, then serve Baal, but if is is Yahweh, then serve Him. As for me and my household we will serve Yahweh. @@hjsmith50 I care about the state of all of Christ's body. However, I identify as Southern Baptist and monetarily support functions of the SBC like home and foreign missions and the seminaries. So, my voice is best used to keep the SBC in line because it is what I most closely support as a steward of what God has given me. If the SBC is just going to go down a heretical toilet like the so called Cooperative Baptist Fellowship did after the 1979 conservative resurgence. Then it is time to rethink Association with the SBC.

Willy Rice’s sermon on Wednesday during lunch was also directed towards Baptists calling out CRT, in which he called us all “jerks” and tired to paint the picture that our intent is disunity. It was arguably the most painful sermon I’ve ever sat through…

I did not go to the convention. I had two very seriously ill men in my church that I could not leave. The one statement that irks me more than any other I have seen from the convention was Rev. Merritt's rant in response to the CRT question. This man acted and behaved in a worst manner. This is sad.

Yes if you’re theology is wrong your gospel is wrong, at best weak! These CRTI pastors seem to have scales over their eyes. Has God given them over to Satan or are they just in error? Only the Holy Spirit can remove those scales since God is Sovereign. Pray for God’s mercy to show them CRTI is another religion that leads to Hell.

And wasting time and resources fighting what a majority of SBC members seem to want. Maybe you just like the drama, idk. That is the only reason I don't become a paying Founders member. I don't want my resources wasted on your pointless fight. But so what. I'm just a "fundamentalist pirate" right? Ridicule us if you want. At least there's no CRT, woman preachers/pastors, etc. in my church or organization. We can direct our time and energy with promoting the gospel.
