In reality everything is much simpler. At the beginning people told each other that extraterrestrials used a simple, invisible technical device, called Generator Of Dimensions (GOD) to create our universe! They knew well that nothing from this earth could have created this earth and nothing from this universe could have created this universe. But then, over time, this device mistakenly became a god in a prozess what is known as Model Autophagy Disorder (MAD). Now all people believe that this device, used by the aliens to create universes, is a god and worship this device. This can definitely be described as crazy. 🤪

@hlatse98 He is indeed a delightful, insightful brother in Christ. I advise you, though, that Jesus is not yet the King, as there is no kingdom. It was rejected by the Jews during His earthly life. It was put on hold until He returns, and takes the throne of His father David. Then, and only then, will there be a kingdom....first, a Millenial kingdom, and then, an eternal Kingdom. Our theology must be accurate, or it will confuse growing believers.

Until a couple of years ago, I helped lead a Christian group on a university campus in New Zealand. During lockdown, John Lennox gave us an hour of his time to speak on science and God and to answer student questions. He was warm, clear and engaging for the full hour. When our time ended, he said goodbye and had to leave straight away, because he was about to do another session for a campus group in another part of the world. But this time, he told us, he’d be speaking in Spanish!! Such a brilliant mind, and a wonderful man of God.

@@AtamMardes Hi atam, I'll do my best. I see hypocrisy, narcissism, ignorance and arrogance everywhere, including (sadly) in myself. But I'm not sure that choosing to eat meat is evidence of those things. I suppose that might be the case if my worldview was that human beings are just another animal. But that's not what I believe. In the Christian worldview, humans are made by a purposeful designer and creator, and we're the only creatures made "in the image of God". We're given authority and responsibility to rule over the world that God has given us (though God is still ultimately in charge), which includes being allowed to eat meat. Jesus himself affirmed that it's okay for people to eat meat. That may not be your worldview, but I hope it at least helps to understand why it's not hypocritical for a Christian to receive meat as a gift from God, given to sustain our bodies (and to enjoy!). Now excuse me while I go finish cooking my chicken dinner ...
@AtamMardes
@AtamMardes Жыл бұрын
@@geoffrobson23 Hi, I eat meat myself.. Eating meat is normal in an evolutionary process. Please don't get confused; I'm not blaming anyone for eating meat. I'm only pointing the hypocrisy, narcissism, ignorance and arrogance when you (theists) thank a God for giving life to you & also for giving life to animals for you to take their lives & eat them.
@geoffrobson23
@geoffrobson23 Жыл бұрын
@@AtamMardes I didn’t assume you were vegetarian. And I can see why eating meat is considered normal within an evolutionary worldview. But it’s also normal and reasonable within a Christian worldview. You may not agree that humans are uniquely made in God’s image, or that one of the ways God sustains our lives is through the provision of food (including meat), but you should be able to acknowledge that it’s internally coherent (i.e. not hypocritical and arrogant) as a practice. It’s certainly a strange way to try to dismiss and attack the Christian worldview. Also, I think you’re being a bit too generous to yourself to claim that you’re “not blaming anyone” but then in the very next sentence to make the accusation of “hypocrisy, narcissism, ignorance and arrogance” - sounds a lot like blame to me! Anyway, thanks for the chat.

The only thing I’m a little surprised about, and maybe I’m wrong, in that these two men know more than what they act like they do. But I guess I haven’t given it enough thought yet, to know what they should say, or not say if they did know what many of us already know. That doesn’t take much of any faith, because we’ve already had enough evidence to know for a fact that physical death is only a transitional phase before entering the spiritual realm. And Jesus confirmed this in his conversation with Martha, when he asked her if she truly believed what he claimed, before raising her brother who had physically died, but had not spiritually died, and who ever believed in him, would never die. Because they’re not just asleep, awaiting the resurrection on the last day, but are also very much consciously aware. And those who know that, aren’t troubled by secular transhumanism.

The history of us, not being able to answer the 3 fundamental questions about life: who we are, why we are here, and where we are going and still looking for answers from science. Faith in science and not on the moral philosophical origins of life. It is not about humans becoming gods, it is about how God became human, gave us the Way, the Truth and the Life and left it with us through his Word and His Resurrection. I'm looking forward to my next life, but I know there is much to be done by me to be with Him, and that is what I would add to this magnificent interview, the need to talk to God for the rest of our earthly lives through prayer. These conversations will allow us to understand why we need to suffer and how we as sinners need to ask for His Mercy to increase our real faith, to have the hope in our next life with God and find and give the love that God asks us for Him and our neighbor. Great job Mr. Anderson, what I loved the most was the fact that you ended your interview at the precise moment when your own belief and faith were touched by Professor Lennox's words filled with the Holy Spirit.

@thetruthhurts5746 Psychology Today Did Jesus Exist? Mythical hero or historical person. Posted May 3, 2016 Share on FacebookShare Share on TwitterTweet Share on LinkedInShare Share via EmailEmail In an earlier post, I argued that the historicity of Jesus was doubtful. Some religion scholars questioned one of my sources. Now, new scholarship comes as close as possible to settling the issue. Personally, I have no ax to grind so far as the historical existence of Jesus is concerned. If anything, I would prefer to believe that the life of Jesus, painstakingly learned in childhood, was connected to history rather than a fiction. Unfortunately, much of what one reads on this question is biased whether by religion scholars, and religious believers, who promote the historical Jesus, or atheist writers intent on debunking him. Richard Carrier's 600-page, note-filled tome, On the Historicity of Jesus (1) belongs in the second camp but it poses a challenge that academic proponents of the historical Jesus seem unlikely to overcome (2).

Brilliant conversation between two intelligent and enlightened men. It's true that the once great UK has lost its moral compass and rejecting God, His commands and teaching on how to lead a purposeful life has led to the sick society we are witnessing today.

@Lucas Süchting Same for the rest of the world. For it is with great sadness that human history is otherwise stuck in the ongoing battle of shortsidedness that knowledge is raised up in the place of Wisdom. One has spoken through inspiration of the Prophets in the words as recorded in Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. and further in Proverbs 2:6 - For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. And in Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. And in Proverbs 18:15 - The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out. And lastly, Jesus spoke these words in response to the source of the many sirens' calls of This world, then and now, in the words as recorded in Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, It is Written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Otherwise, Proverbs 15:14 forewarns us - The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly. Science without Philosophy is prone to be foolhardy. Philosophy: the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. His Peace be with you. 🙏 John 3:16-17

@@AtamMardes u and me are created in the very image of God, hence are intrinsically valuable and infinite beings, whereas animals aren't infinite and don't hold an intrinsic value. @@AtamMardes first of all, thanks for the insults, secondly, you don't seem to understand what I have mentioned above, because I just stated something which is philosophically accurate pertaining to the fact that as a group of atoms (according to what you believe) cannot decide "right" and "wrong" in any context whatsoever and every feeling, every sense of anything at all is just a physical change of atomic structure. Also, I haven't been "indoctrinated" into anything, I don't belong to a Christian nation or family and have had to go through proper facts, theology and physics to understand the truth as it is and has been. You ask these questions, but don't seem to want an answer and have left no room for logic Regardless, if you are so confident about it, try and go through the book , "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist". All the best to you, may God bless you utmostly.

The moral issue is the deciding factor. History has proved our bankrupt nature. Humanity having proved it's inability and God having proved (through our historical record including most importantly all our modern improvements) that without His intervention all hope is lost
@Pete-eb3vo

@Steven Boy Humanity has accepted Jehovah as being the supposed "God" of this world for over 1600 years, and as the Dark Ages and other bits of history showcase, thinking that its just humanity as a whole and nothing to do with how tyrannical the churches were and still are with the help of the politicians on both sides around the world that they are aligned with is getting a bit tiring. Looks like those two boneheads up on top will always compensate for the fact that their politicians are absolute insects. Call out the modern world for how it works but never acknowledge how their own political allies enforced the destruction of the countries both economically and culturally, cough cough Scomo cough.

god hasn't done anything to improve society, i think you'll find it's governments and science that are making life tolerable, taxation has paid for more than charity ever w2ill, and it will continue to do so. name one thing god brought to the table? according to your religion the fall brought all kinds of punishments in the form of disease, who is curing those diseases? cos it's weird that god isn't responsible for inflicting the disease but gets the credit for curing - punishments HE inflicted on us, don't you find that weird that we're eradicating god's punishment? religion is silly, for silly people.

The carnal mind of the world , the desires of the Flesh, the lust of evil doing with the spirit of Satan cannot grasp the Holy Spirit of God who created all things for His Good Pleasures.HUMANS who in the Holy Spirit of God.hear and Know Jesus who is eternal and far above all human thinking or doing actually finds humans very amusing that live and think in their own understanding that their claim that Jesus is not Lord and never even existed other than in a man made myth, is nothing new to God.There is nothing new under the sun that worldly humans can come up with. as far as God is concerned.As far as humans are thinking is a big deal but to God its, Zero THREAT TO Gods supremacy over all creation .For instance All things about all humans is always know to God at all times and with love and mercy that surpasses all human or General Artificial intelligence.It actually makes me laugh too.Humans without God cannot even think about divine ethics in regards to Gods rights to all human ownership.Why.They refuse the Divine Spiritual supremacy in the human mind.Hence the human ethics will not prevail with God ever.Thank God ! God has mercy on Such puffed up humans..❤😂.Sometimes.!😂.

I once renounced my faith and took a more science based belief in life but the deeper I got into science and physics, the more a Devine creator became likely. Then researching NDE’s (near death experience) and how over 90% had similar experiences. Most had an experience of approaching the light (God) and feeling at home with intense love and joy. Some had very bad experiences. They then were told they were going back and most were like, “NOOOOO!” They all say that when they thought about this plain, it meant nothing (except loved ones bc they’re part of this). None of them are afraid to die for the next time bc they know what comes next. 800 ppl a day in America alone have NDE’s.
