They wont ask for ur caste but will play a huge role to define why ur oppressed in every way of life by imaginary someone, they will make concession for gender fluids rather than a normal person, also the more woke u r the more money/ sponsorship u will get. Also not opposite view of extreme leftist will be tolerated there. - Welcome to Ashoka University our one and only woke university where we all will shit on India and embrace Christianity and Islam otherwise if Hindu u r automatically are intolerant. Also we are civilized by Brits - according to professors of university, and dont dare u challenge it otherwise u will suffer ur whole time. Also we take funds from foreign NGO to run propaganda in India with the likes of Gerorge Soros, and many agencies which are always anti india.

The Barbershop with Shantanu was a great session; I enjoyed listening to each and every word by Pramath Raj Sinha. As someone from Patna, the narrative of his early days was very nostalgic. Also, as public health researchers, we also hardly focus on the great ideas and lessons that business and consultancy can offer. As a sequel to this podcast, I listened to many interviews of Rajat Gupta; what a gem of a person; his every word sounded like a chapter. Next, I am eager to read 'Mind without Fear' Thanks for opening a new worldview and helping in giving a new lens to our critical thinking

I have something to say about what Sinha ji said at @30:00. I am not sure about other countries because of my limited exposure but it does seem to me that in India, choosing to pursue engineering is all about getting into a branch that offers the most lucrative placement opoortunities. It is completely bereft of genuine academic curiosity. Is it a coincidence that year after year, top rank holders choose Computer Science over any other branch? How can top rankers be only interested in Computer Science? Doesn't anyone among them want to become a nuclear physicist or an aerodynamicist or a weapons designer or a chip designer. I do understand that for an average Indian middle class family, children's education is nothing short of a sincere financial investment but we must also find ways of addressing the problem which is that IITs have been reduced to placement agencies rather than centers of technological excellence. I felt really sad when Sinha ji said that bottom rankers were either assigned metallurgical or aeronautical engineering. Our country lags badly behind the West and China when it comes to critical jet engine technology and hypersonic missiles. Streamlining our elementary science curricullum in a way that arouses curiosity in young minds towards technologies of strategic importance to our nation is one way to deal with this problem. Another way would be for the government toinvest heaviliy in sectors of strategic importance to us like semiconductor fabrication, high stress metallurgy and make it even more open to the private sector.

Looking for chapter 2. As Shantanu rightly at the end i was actually looking for more on how he built ISB and other institutions. The first half of the conversation was his personal life story, although it was interesting in bits and pieces, but it wasn't value adding for me. But i am definitely looking forward for chapter 2 where you would discuss around ISB and other higher educational instituitions.

Would love to see something similar in Digital Health for India if Shantanu can bring some one in Podcast who can revolutionise Digital Health in India. Bring some challenges in table and give some policy level changes which india need to do and how Govt and private both can follow. There is no regulatory body in Healthcare and many things. The way currently india is taking steps via NHA is not collaborate and somehow the governance is also very poor and then people like global tech company don’t believe in India healthcare policy etc etc …..we need someone to solve this big problem
