I’d love to see an explanation of the water physics. Are there plans for water to behave differently in a later build? I know it’s supposed to be similar to Minecraft but I’m one of the few 30 year olds that slipped by and never played it.

So rail miners still can be used to create tunnels in dirt/rock or it can mine only specific type of blocks?

:) Wow, how long did this take to just flatten the factory area? I have been playing the early versions of Foundry and have dug at least 3000+ blocks just to flatten a starting area. Maybe a mass delete or bulk inventory clear option would be helpful and an option for a 'flat' starting area etc. Amazing video and love the game.

25:30 yeah one of the annoying things about DSP was having to source new raw mining resources, completely kills the flow of progression elsewhere in my automation.

It would be epic to have a count of how much resources are available in a node. IE. 17000 xenoferite. Ect...... especially for early game power. Like ohhhh. Crap I have to build another belt to take over from another node. When the current runs out.

off world trading? nothing says huge scale like "online inter-world trading market linking the end game of all the players" - right, right?

I think every ore should have some ability to be infinite, even if it's a late game energy cost.

Please no structural integrity! I don`t like the Idea to take one part off and in my back the whole factory colapse...

"Pressure" is very important for a factory game imo. There have been many solutions to it. Factorio of course has the biters and pollution mechanic. FortressCraft is pre. ty much purely a tower defense mechanic. Timberborne has water storage/management. Oni and Stationeers have deep atmospheric systems. Captain of Industry has the constant threat of resource exhaustion and death spirals. Satisfactory on the other hand stands out as being, design wise, quite bizarre. The game is split between a beautiful, yet static map, and the factory game itself. So much work was put into the map, however the map isn't relevant to the gameplay. They incentive exploration to unlock recipes, which often can simplify the factory you build, and since until very recently there was no blueprinting, you probably want to be doing this early. However this is a forced relationship, not a natural one. Get rid of the recipes and the world has no real meaning or interaction. Additionally the game lacks pressure entirely, and is a very linear progression experience. I found it pretty boring in comparison to any of the other games I gave as examples.

So what separates this game from Satisfactory? What is going to make me want to purchase this and play this over Satisfactory which I already own and has hundreds of hours of content for me to still enjoy.

Excited for the game, but damn... I was expecting the graphics to somewhat look better for a 2024 game and I know they might evolve overtime but shit...
