FINALLY. I needed someone to verbally say their numbering system. I was having so much trouble following along with people who are just like “take this one and cross over that one” - this is the best four strand tutorial I have found! Thank you!

I like this one it looks like a round twitch robes. Number right to left 1-2-3-4, then 2 up and 1 go between 3 & 4 as always to finish. Numbers are changed currently 1 is up left to right 2-3-4, then 2 up and 1 go between 3 & 4

Nice! I can’t believe how hard 4 braid has been for me to learn. This might be the way that finally works for my little new-to-challah brain.

M Gomez I’m totally devoted to a recipe I got from Mandylicious Challah on Instagram. After so many failures, it’s *the one* for me! You can find the measurements on my blog and I have a dough making and round challah video up on my channel from September. Happy baking!

It gets slightly confusing that your numbering changes directions. You number then from left to right, then switch from right to left.
@rivkisilver4 жыл бұрын
I can see how that could be confusing - sorry! It's how I was taught, but if you want to keep the numbers the same, you could think of it this way: Start by placing strand number 2 up and then place strand 1 in between strands 3 & 4 Then take strand 4 and place it up, and then place strand 2 in between strands 3 & 1 Then take strand 3 and place it up, and then place stand 4 in between strands 2 & 1 Then take strand 1 and place it up, and then place strand 3 in between strands 2 & 4 (and now we're back to the original step) Then take strand 2 and place it up, then place strand 1 in between strands 3 & 4 I don't know if that's more or less confusing. Good luck!! Let me know if you have any other questions. Hopefully I won't take a year to reply next time ;)
