I grew up hearing the Four Freshmen. Dad played bass in a college dance band and he shared his love of jazz with us. As a result, I majored in music at then North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. Way too long ago!

All of this is incredible work, and by such a great bunch of incredibly talented people is exactly what guided Brian Wilson to deliver us one of the greatest harmony bands imaginable. I'll bet you Brian would be the first to thank the Four Freshmen for what became his guiding force within so many of his best ideas, in regard to harmony. If he doesn't, he sure as hell should!!!

The Four Freshmen is musically very rich between jazz harmony, above all vocal and rythm swinging. Not only for public but musicians too, it requires a particular technic of high lever that not everyone can do. To the Four Freshmen group which play with their musical Experience. Saw them @ a county fair outside Philly in 61 - blew me away as a kid - great performers all - Ross sang Seer Lorraine in his duck voice
