@@AB-ro3fu If you can handle the effort, after a few weeks you'll start looking down at most, and up at others. If I could do it again, I would have insisted that my sons do a combat sport while in middle school. It's good to know that if it gets to that last level, you can defend yourself, or that you need to run, and run away fast.

Oh man...watching this man brings back SO many memories of my dad teaching me the fundamentals when I was 12-13 years old. When you know a little about boxing and see a man who moves like this you just KNOW. There is NO doubt he's the REAL DEAL, that he's been doing it forever, and he can teach this stuff in his sleep! He also seems like a heck of a guy I'd love to meet and train with!

Fundamentals: 1. 0:46 Left foot out front the length of a normal step, left shoulder out front, knees slightly bent 2. 1:56 elbows in front of the body, hard stuff in front of the soft stuff, (common sense) 3. 2:08 Hands in front of your head nose level. 4. 2:56 Throw Punches straight out straight back.

Milton's gonna be a right human weapon in the next year or two yeah.... Solid fundamentals, and good boxing instruction for those setting out, to be sure One of the truly amazing things about this journey of the warrior is that one is still learning and re-learning, and can still gain insights at any and every point along the way: indefinitely. Big respect to all of the brothers and sisters on this path in life. Walk in peace. Onward and upward.

Nice to see a coach who doesn't hold the mitts like a D-Bag. I hate those people who slam the mitt into my hands. It serves no purpose other then to almost break my wrist during hooks and uppercuts, and end my day with bruised knuckles.

Fish Zom i kinda dont agree with yoi
@ZimCrusher
@ZimCrusher 6 жыл бұрын
Well, the idea is for you to punch the mitts, not for the mitt to punch your fists. I've worked with people, and I see lots of coaches slam people's fists so hard, that the person does not even have to move their hands, and mitts will come to them. That's stupid and dangerous, and yet it is super popular.

And that's why Floyd uses the shell. It eliminates the guesswork as to where his opponent will likely target. Based on his opponent's foot position, by the 3rd round he usually knows where the opponent is targeting.

Valid point indeed lad. It is good for a fighter to bear in mind too, that sometimes ya can just leave it up for a moment, like 'twas a mistake, and then straight wipe the grin right off their face n all too, yeah.. As in, the need for boxers and fighters to always remain aware of tricks and set-ups too...But tucking the chin is certainly a good idea indeed; to be sure...
