I guess this would be one of those bucket list things. I always thought it would be lots of fun just spending a day riding SEPTA. I could get on in Doylestown, go into the city, come out the other side and head to Paoli /Thorndale and not switch trains. In the old days this route was the R5. the good thing would be I would only have to spend money on souvenirs or what ever since old people like me ride everything for free. I am very much enjoying the local stories.

you have beautiful eyebrows ❤ I really enjoy watching your videos while I play cities skylines. I imagine mine Sims riding throughout the systems I create.

Hello 👋 @Caleb, I used to live just 2-3 miles from the Elwin train station. Thanks so much for the tour of the largest WaWa. I live just one minute from a WaWa in Chester County (NOT to be confused with the city of Chester, LOL). Happy Holidays to you and your family. 🐳

why people bother making horror movies when 7:47 exists is beyond my comprehension

I was the third person in line at the opening with some friends! They gave out T-shirts and free hoagies! Unfortunately it was completely ridiculous to get there by transit at 4am from Germantown, where I was living at the time.. I ended up driving and paying a 70 dollar ticket for parking on Chestnut, but was worth it overall!

Did you forget to visit the new SEPTA station as Wawa? ;-) - Conversely, remember the Wawa store at the relocated NJ Transit station at Princeton (Princeton Dinkey Branch)!

I went to both in subsequent videos!

Why didn't you go from the station called Wawa Station?
@dashamm983 жыл бұрын
Personally, with the NHSL transfer to regional rail, I would have transferred at Radnor station because it's a shorter walk than the two haverford stations
@ClassyWhale3 жыл бұрын
I'm aware of that transfer - I just wanted to visit my parents' college, and there was a super long transfer time anyway.

Sadly, I haven't been able to get to a Wawa in nearly eight years, since the last time I was able to get to the DC area from Ohio. I am planning on heading down that way again over the holidays, so I hope to pay a visit to at least one. Please tell me at least some of them still sell egg salad? One of the best things there (along with the hot sides, cold side dishes (cole slaw, macaroni salad, etc.), soft pretzels and huge cinnamon buns. I'm bringing a cooler! I would trade a bunch of the Sheetz' in my area for one Wawa, but the nearest one to me is Frederick, MD.

In Cuba, the word wawa is slang for bus. My late parents and I were born there.

I love Wawa. Now I wanna visit just to see the worlds biggest wawa

I used to work around the corner from that Wawa before it opened. That would have been great to have as the other options around there stink.

Oddly enough, I spent two years (1978-1980) going to a private school in that area - dorm was in Williamstown Township, but the school campus was in Berwyn (on the border of Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships) . There is a Wawa here that serves the station and Paoli itself. In addition to AMTRAK and SEPTA, Paoli Pike ends here (eastern end). The western end is at Gay Street (PA 3) just inside the city limits of West Chester itself, west of the interchange with the US 202 exxpressway. (Technically, you COULD say that the goose tracked me down, as there are now many Wawas all over Maryland - but I won't go THAT far - as while I was in Pennsylvania, Wawa and Southland Corporation (who then owned 7-Eleven) had the rather nasty Wawa War (1979).

Thanks for your interesting travels to get to the largest WAWA. However you made a major mistake in where you got off the Elwyn commuter rail line. I could not tell what station you got off but since I saw you by the Lansdowne sign I assume you got off in Lansdowne or our Gladstone station that both serve Lansdowne. You should have got off sooner at the Clifton-Alden station. The route 102 Sharon Hill trolley line runs directly under the Elwyn train line. You would have just had to go down to street level and there are 2 stops for the Sharon Hill trolley within a block of the train station. You also may have had a better and closer transfer from the Norrisrown High Speed line by getting off at the Villanova station and walking across their campus to the commuter train station behind the main campus. Or go one more stop to Radnor because it is again a relatively close station to the Radnor station on the commuter line to Philadelphia. I had to use that transfer back when I worked in the area and commuted on both the train and Norristown line. It was nice to see how you used the various lines to get to the WAWA and soon the expanded service on the Elwyn line will allow you to start or end your journey at the new WAWA train station. Witch is just down the road from the WAWA dairy and headquarters of the convince store chain.

Wawa is Ojibwa word for Canadian goose nit dlurring Barbara Walters name
@paulw.woodring7304 Жыл бұрын
Well, that is the second Ojibwa word I've learned. Just about everyone knows the other one - Shania - yep her. Ms Twain's step father was Ojibwa, and when her agent said she couldn't keep her full given name, Eileen Twain, she refused to give up her family name, but changed her first name to Shania, which, 100 million albums later, means "on my way", which she certainly was!
