I absolutely love hearing him talk. He's such an inspiring and down to earth person. So without pretence and ego. The simplicity in his process just shows how much of a genius he is. ❤

He's inspirational with his honesty; who else would admit to putting together a track mainly using laptop speakers.

I do all the time... 99% of people listen to music on 💩 devices in 💩 environments. So why wouldn't producers spend more time referencing on the same mediums most people use?
@mattsharaykomusic4 ай бұрын
he said, "laptop speakers lying around on the table..." so it sounds like he uses a bluetooth speaker with his laptop, not the built-in laptop speakers
@willroberts64294 ай бұрын
No way he is using a Bluetooth speaker, unless it’s pretty sophisticated, due to latency
@ZombieLincoln6664 ай бұрын
@@willroberts6429the latency wouldn’t really matter unless he’s recording stuff live

I still don’t see how one could confidently choose sounds when referencing on laptop speakers. Sure you can hear the high frequencies but you have no idea how the low end sounds????

He kept coming into my radar and I finally sat down and listened to his stuff. And now listening to him speak, it all makes sense. He's so intentional and emotional about this music. I can't stop listening to "Loved".. so beautiful. Thanks for this video.

It is great to hear a like-minded person. Music is my world, my therapy, music to me is like an itche that needs scratching.
@nriicv15723 ай бұрын
That was great to listen to. He has such a great sense of melody and structure, simple but so effective... and then the way he explains obsessing about the sound for months after that... that combination really is what makes his music special. So many great SOUNDS on his records that keep you immersed.

Thank you so so much I had been really needing some direction I couldn’t find with Ableton and producing music and you absolutely really nailed it. Finally just what I had been looking for not another tutorial, but some actual artist explaining their creative process.
