Thanks for that Dwayne. Enjoyed this one and was great to reminisce after spending a few days around there a few months ago on my mountain leaders course.

With me, what's really stopping me from going mountain climbing, is when I think I'm going to fall, I panic. I get it when I'm dealing with spiral staircases. I've also tried to go up Arthur's Seat earlier this year. I could only go up so far (I didn't even make it to the ridge), and I had to come back down, as I could feel myself starting to panic. The weird thing is, I can go up Dunadd, in Argyll, no problem.

Aah really? It’s strange isn’t it how some get you and some don’t. I’ve been up Arthur’s Seat and I didn’t even really notice any tricky patches on that one. I guess it’s just breaking yourself in bit by bit. I don’t like roller coasters that’s my thing. Yet I can stand on a ridge and massive drop and not be bothered. Saying that I’d hate something like a cable car. It’s mad isn’t it.

@@krisgleave Yeah, it is something that I really want to get over. I really want to get to the top of of mountains like Ben Lomond, Ben Nevis and the Cobbler. Dunadd isn't that high. It's just something of a scramble in places.

Enjoyed this one guys, looks like you both have a right good laugh as well…..my mrs would moan like anything doing 7 hour hikes 😂 Kris, would you ever do a video/review on the best footwear for the hikes, I see you wear adidas ones? That would be good as an extra little video 👍🏻

Cheers Andrew really appreciate the feedback. Haha yeah she loves hiking as long as I don’t make them too long. This was a 17km route and we did a wild camp the night before and it was great weather which helps….well later in the day it was. Yeah I will do. Really could do with make some more videos other than the big hiking days as lots of people do ask. I always wear the same boots and swear by them but not for everyone. I’ll get a video sorted 🤙🏼

A great route I did very similar with a wild camp I could be wrong tho but I think the Wainwright isnt the 632 point but the cairn right at the northern tip at 601
@krisgleave Жыл бұрын
I think you might be right. I’ve been to both summits before as did my ML course up there and literally was all around the top all day but it was good enough for this day haha. I’d planned to wild camp on Seathwaite Fell but the traffic put an end to that so had to camp low the night before. Definitely get back there another time.

@@krisgleave it's a great spot to camp just far enough away from the idiots at sprinkling tarn with better views
@krisgleave Жыл бұрын
@@craig3401 Yeah exactly! On the ML course we camped in a great location between the Styhead Tarn and Sprinkling Tarn so I’ll have to head back there another time
