Trossard has what Martinelli is sorely lacking right now: decision-making. I don't know if it's confidence or experience (or both) but man, it is very noticeable these last weeks.

The scouting team of Arsenal made such a bad mistake to recommend Mudryk. It is so wrong. Mudryk's ball skill is so poor that he cannot be a star player. He has pure pace but any other area of his game is average.

Martinelli is not very intelligent in possession, does not scan, create chances for others. Half his goals last year were assisted by Saka when we played a faster countering style, so even then he depended on buildup on the far side. He is failing in the current system as a team player, whereas Trossard is looking amazing
@Journey224055 ай бұрын
@@patrick7381 its also because martinelli is more isolated on that left side than a prisoner in solitary confinement. Hes had no help and is out of form. Trossard also gets no help but he has the experience and the ability to do something with no help. They both have that ability but Martinelli just isnt in form. Anyone that thinks martinelli is bad is far too fast to forget last season.

Hey Adam! Really loving these videos, just the math is a bit off at 8:17. +0.24 g-xg means for every 4 games he plays, he scores one more goal than he should have based on his chances. Or similarly, 0.38xgp90 vs 0.62gp90 means for every 3 goals he should score, he scores 5.

Thanks a million for giving justice to Trossard (so underrated player) and proving your arguments with the solid data and his game stats . My wife’s favorite Arsenal player and no wonder I married her :) Trossard is extremely smart player , reads space perfectly , has deadly shot from both feet , and clinical finisher inside and near the box . ( people forget that it is not enough to have strong shot , but to understand when to shoot , how to position your body and aim your angle , while hiding your shot from defenders . ) >> Trossard- intelligent shooter !

he was on fire for brighton in front of goal before he joined arsenal and, for some time before that, he really looked to me like he could be a top class striker just because of the way he finishes when he gets a chance. i'm surprised given how good he looked in pre-season and whenever he came on that miki never decided to give him a run in the team as centre forward. but it seems to be working great now with havertz in there and dropping deep and wide and trossard drifting into those dangerous positions from wide. i really don't think we need to sign a striker this summer. we have so many different and good options up top.

Once again great video.However in my opinion Trossard is so better the last 3 months than Martinelli because except from important and great goals that scores helps the team to defence (he runs enough to help the LB) also has the skills to know when to pass, when to dribble and when to shot. Something that you can not easily see through the numbers!
@bighamster25 ай бұрын
I was thinking the other day about how when Trossard first joined the previous January, he was getting lots of assists and touches, but almost no goals - like a classic creative player. Fast forward a year and he's a low touch clinical poacher. Its like hes been 2 totally different players - but the exact ones Arsenal needed in each of those moments.
@事実陳列罪5 ай бұрын
It doesn't help that Martinelli is in atrocious form right now. He can't even dribble without tripping himself over. And I hope Trossard to have more touches on the ball, especially in the middle areas when we have trouble progressing the ball.

Martinellis problem is that he looks at his feet too much, when if he looked up more he would create more. Most arsenal fans have wanted trossard starting for a long time because he scores goals, he may not be the fastest or most skillful or best at attacking positioning but he scores goals and thats what weve needed in this side.

Trossard's superpower is that he isn't seen or known as a threat. The sound of his name doesn't ring as loud as Saka's. And so, he doesn't get marked as tightly, thus giving him much room to enter dangerous spaces unnoticed and shoot to kill.

Perhaps it's less about underestimating him, specifically, but more that teams are very focused on stopping Saka and Ødegaard on the other wing, and Havertz's weird movement often distracts the defence, and then Trossard is left by himself with 3 yards of space

@@bighamster2 that's what I'm saying. He isn't on the ball as much compared to Saka, Ødegaard and Havertz so they draw players away from him so when he does get the ball he doesn't have to dribble through 3 guys and shoot, he can just shoot
