Nice work Adam. I have been debating with other Reds fans about Sobo for weeks now. They are fixated on him not scoring enough... and while it would be better if he had another 3 or so goals by now, for me he is really the glue in midfield that makes everything tick. You highlighted his impact in the press and how that frees the cf to stay higher, and that has been my argument for about 3 or 4 weeks now.... His running power and presence really impacts thing in indirect ways that dont show up in xG/XA, though he is often a pass or ball retrieval in the chain leading to a chance. And that is why Liverpool bought him - because the mdoel LFC use to analyse a player is based on the impact of every action they take in terms of how it leads to chances being created... Anyway - loved the vid and thanks for the analysis

@andaredvexАй бұрын
The first pronounciation of 'Szoboszlai' was the one closest, Adam :) So, in phonetic terms, it would be pronounced roughly as: "SOH-bohs-la-y" (where 'la' and 'y' at the end are like two different syllables, not one merged together). In Hungarian, the stress is always on the first syllable of each word, regardless of its length or structure. So, in the case of "Szoboszlai," the stress falls on the first syllable: SZO-bosz-la-i. We maintain the stress on the first syllable, making the rhythm of the language distinct and even.

As a Dutchman, I'm am rooting for Liverpool. Bergkamp, one of the best players ever, played for Arsenal but Gakpo, Van Dijk, Gravenberch and Slot are now on the Liverpool team. With Slot at the helm, I think Liverpool will surprise England. This coach/manager is unbelievable! And he has the players to challenge Man City. No matter how much money Man City throws away at players etc. It's about the will to win. I remember when Cruijff was still alive and Real Madrid bought all the best players in the world. He said: they won't win a title. With so many ego's there is no way they can form a team. And he was correct. Barcelona won the title and in Europe Madrid were out in the quarter finals against Munich. You only need one, two or three top players and the rest of the team will conform. And knowing Slot, he will make the other players even better. That's why he's made manager of Liverpool.

I'm also glad to see you didn't go down the 'depleted' arsenal narrative, unless your other video goes on about that. Arsenal were missing 3 x regular first teamers....Odegard, Saliba & Calafiori. Two of those were injuries and the other was suspension. Liverpool were missing more regular first teamers including the best goalie in the world. The result in the end looked totally fair to me and for both teams, move on and win the other games to keep Shitty in their sights.

I watched both, and the quality of the videos is the top-notch stuff we keep coming back for. I'm not convinced the 2-video experiment worked, though... mostly because they shared so much material. There were really just a couple of different points each time (L's tactics; A's tactics; why L should be happy; why A should be happy), and those could have been sections within a single video with less duplication. Alternatively, you could have had different intros and outros. Totally happy to watch an experiment, just I'm not convinced it beat a single video. If you repeat this - video sections would be very very useful in skipping to the 'new stuff'.

This is why I've been crying out for a winger like Sadio to replace Diaz who is bang average. Partey had him in his pocket to such an extent, he was happy to invert. Arsenal were comfortable enough in the knowledge Diaz will just go round in circles like a headless chicken on the byline like he always does. He has zero direct ball carrying ability like Sadio had. A world class winger in that position and Partey gets cooked, and the overload in midfield doesn't happen. Tell this to the smug "top reds" on RAWK who have their tongues firmly up "Lucho's" butthole and you'll be hounded off.

We aren't looking for him to be our out ball the last three games he's been on the pitch for a prolonged period of time. I could be off if data shows differently, but he's clearly not looking to shoot given he hasn't had one shot attempt in those three matches. Yes Arne did well, but he was up against a makeshift back 4 and 2 injured players, fully fit with a full squad only one outcome on that game.

1 point is always better than 0, but this was a missed opportunity by Liverpool. Once ARS defensive backline was so changed, there shouldve been more throttle and risk taken to get more than just the equalizer.
