I was at the listening station (turntable to try before you buy) in Piccadilly Records, Manchester, UK when this started playing on the stores speakers as I was changing over sides of the record I was possibly going to purchase. I’m so glad I was able to hear this for the first time by chance, and thanks to the Shazam Gods had an track ID in mere seconds. This stirs up some bittersweet emotions and memories, but I like when a song is capable of doing this. Thanks Piccadilly Records, if it’s not your staff making great suggestions when you’re just doing a fly by visit with a spare £20 in your pocket that you want to make sure gets you something you will be happy listening to or playing in sets for years and years later, it’s your music in the background!
