I bought a new Giulia QV, in 2019 for $67K. After driving it for 14k miles, still love it. No problems at all. Very happy with my purchase. It's a true driver's car.

Could we get an update on the Quadrifoglio market? Maybe a comparison between the early models and later models to see if the infotainment update is impacting sales pricing.

Interesting video, but I think you missed some important elements: - here in Europe new cars are sold with a discount of approximately 14% so it should not be surprising that the value after 1 year is 25% lower than the official new price - nowhere is there any mention of the impact of some very distinctive but expensive options such as the carbon seats, the ceramic brakes or the Akrapovic exhaust, which are the cherry-on-the-cake Be that as it may, I am extremely satisfied with my 2017 Quadrifoglio (by far the best car I've ever owned) and will never sell it, so the value development doesn't really bother me.

Great analysis. Just bought a 2017 w 8500 miles a week ago for $49k. The rest of the cars I looked at for approx $40k had all been wrecked. Think the depreciation curve is flattening.

A major problem with your analysis is a options. A highly spec'd QV with carbon brakes and seats are quite rare in the new and used car market and they demand a premium and will most likely continue to as compared to a base.

Always like your videos. Even though this is a year old really helps to see what the depreciation should be when shopping for one of these.

An additional variable for model year 2020 would be that Giulia will get a facelift. All pre-facelift models will have an additional price drop.

I'm looking at buying a 2017 Alfa quadrfoglio with 24000 miles for 40k or a 911 991 carerra s for 45k with 50k miles- Which one will cost me less in the long term in depreciation 🤔

Did you check out the Carrera S video ? ;)
@panacheautomotive42983 жыл бұрын
It depends on how much you plan on driving the car. 911 are a dime a dozen with QV Guilias being quite rare by comparison. I currently own two high spec QV's one to drive one to keep. In the near future of only EV's being sold these will be quite special and it will cost a lot for a good one. And goes with 911's but there will be a lot more of them. The GT350 will be worth a mint and in my prediction will over take the GT500 in value even being the less powerful slower car. I would say buy a 360 Modena right away but the market is already taking off on them as for the $42k I paid for a very good Spider 2 years ago was a tremendous deal.

How really cares about the depreciation? It’s about fun and enjoyment. Lease a 12 month old demo and then swap it for another demo at the end of warranty. Only a fool buys a new car.

I was so close to buying a new Gulia Quadrofoglio and I’m glad I didn’t even though it’s such a fun car. I guess the Shelby GT350 is the best buy amongst them in the 60 to 80k price point.
@fourwheeltrader5 жыл бұрын
Did you end up with a Shelby eventually?
@jalloor5 жыл бұрын
I was going to pull the trigger on trading in my 2018 M3 competition for one until I realized that there are several of the GT350’s with catastrophic engine failures. I love a reliable sports car and the Bimmer is. If Ford does however option a DCT transmission in the Shelby I’ll most likely get one regardless. Until then I’ll keep my M3 and keep watching the market for something special and reliable.
