Just bought a set of these after using a rather cheap set of wychwood reels for last 2-3 years(if it ain't broke don't fix it haha). I think there great quality and value for money, great vid mate keep it up!!

Thanks James. I hope they do you well. I’m still using my ones of these except I lost the handle screw the other day and it’s difficult to find them anywhere except from fox whom want £6 delivery for it! So I might order a few of them incase it happens again (it was my fault making it too loose)

had them for piking a few years back reliable and decent budget reels , Now use the Fox EOS PRO reels , quality difference is chalk n cheese they're great upgrades from the standard eos reels .. Great honest review fella 👍

Hi Steve, brilliant comment thank you for sharing. I’m still absolutely loving these reels but would definitely look to get the pro versions as and when I need an upgrade. Thanks for the comment. Ross

@@ChunksterFishing I’ve had a few this season but nothing to write home about. My brother has had a cracking pike season so far and caught loads of decent ones but it’s always been either when I’m not recording or when he’s on his own which is a shame as would of made a decent video of it

Great video! Would this reel (or the new 10000 PRO version) pair well with a 10ft carp rod?
@Operationcarp5 ай бұрын
Thank for you for kind words. I use these on my 10ft Xtractors even to this day! They are perfect for it. Hope that helps 👍🏻

I have mine but need some help. Filled up with monofil mainline. The upper part of the reel is almost empty while the lower part is full of the mainline. What is wrong?
@Operationcarp7 ай бұрын
So in the box mate there should be some little rubbers. You may need to take off the spool and try add some to balance it. Or remove some if already on there. I expect there’s videos on KZbin about how to get your line even on a. Fishing reel. Haven’t had the issue myself I’m afraid. If that doesn’t sort it they might need to go back to manufacturer

Are they good for carp
@Operationcarp Жыл бұрын
Yes mate I use them for most my carp fishing. It would depend how big the lake is as they aren’t big pit reels but more than enough for most peoples fishing
@vakar88s Жыл бұрын
@@Operationcarp like im fishing about 100meters far so its enough?
@Operationcarp Жыл бұрын
@@vakar88s yes it would be able to do that. Casting would be easier with big pit reel due to the line coming off easier but aslong as you can cast that distance easily you will be fine 👍🏻

I have 3 of these last fox reels where stratos they broke so fox replaced with these now after 3 years doing maybe 3 x 48 hour sessions a year they have broken too one has broken clutch one won’t turn at all and the other has a razor sharp line clip the cuts the line when you use it I am never buying fox again I would wait and save a bit more money for shimanno or Diawa
@Operationcarp2 жыл бұрын
A problem I’ve had recently is losing the screw for the handle….can’t get it from anywhere other than fox. They want £2.50 for it but £6 for delivery with no other delivery options. Absolute rip off. Had I known how hard it was to get spares for these I wouldn’t have got them. Very pleased with my Daiwa reels

Can we used for surfcasting??

I can not recommend this reel. It internals broke completly down after a year and a half. In this period of time it did well. But now its just a pile of trash aluminium. When you want something to last longer, spend more. Sad but easy as that.
