Great video, Jeff. I sure wish that this video was around when I put 94 Mustang seats in my 67 Mustang. When I installed mine, I didn't want to remove the 67's seat platforms, so I removed the 94's power seat assembly and just used the 67's original seat tracks. The mounting holes from the 67's track is slightly different than the 94 seat. I was able to use two of the new seats mounting holes, but I had to drill and tap the two remaining holes to retain the 67 seat track's bolt pattern. With that accomplished, the seats mount into the car like the original seats and can be adjusted forward and back just as the original seats. I found that when using the original tracks, the seat's height is very close to original specs. and I can remove the seats from the car just as if they were the originals. I did have to remove that seat belt holster piece at the headrests as these seats must have been from a rag top. I saved all of the power seat components in case I choose to use them at a later date. I'm a hopeless pack rat. With my set of seats, the driver's side had the power seat option and the passenger side was manual. I removed that assembly in favor of the 67's track assembly, also. Just as an FYI, I came across these 94 seats for $10 each about 15 years ago. I had overheard a radio ad that a Ford parts recycle yard was having a sale to liquidate their overstock of seats. What a mountain of seats they had. I was fortunate to find what I was looking for as the seats were stacked one on top of another. The seat width was my primary concern and what I found was a perfect fit. Jeff, do you think a pretty handy DIY guy like myself can recover my seats by ordering a set of pre-made vinyl seat covers? Right now they're covered with a cloth material which I don't care for. The foam seems to be holding up underneath as best as I can tell. Thanks a million for all that you do.

Absolutely! I would order the buns too. TMI has a sweet Sport seat that will wake up a stock 94 seat. Check with National Parts Depot, they carry the TMI brand and have parts for the SN95 (1994).

I just bought some Foxbody seats for my 1966. I’m curious how difficult they will be to mount to the original seat tracks? Thanks

Wait so the sn95 seat tracks will fit on a 1991 foxbody ?
@AutoRestoMod2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure that they will or they won't I don't see why they wouldn't though. Best to go to a salvage yard and find an SN95 and get the measurements off the seats and then compare them to your fox.

What kind of late model bucket seats would work in a 1968 F-100? I know Ford used bucket seats from the 65 or 66 Mustang in the trucks.

Look for a 1991-1997 F250 or 1991 to 1995 F150 crew cab. They are more likely to have the bucket seats and console.

What is the best option for a 1970 mustang sportsroof. Can a newer Mustang seat (like 2019) fit with the sliders and everything?

I'd stay in the early 2000s. Plenty running through pull a parts and covers are available from NPD.

Hay Jeffro, Where can I find a bench seat for my 1968? Can I install my seat backs on the bottom assembly?
@AutoRestoMod6 жыл бұрын
Bench seat base may be tough. I'd pop on the Vintage Mustang Group on Facebook. or the Vintage Mustang Forum. Start asking around.You could also put an ad in the Mustang Times and ask for one. Meh, just get the whole seat, why borrow trouble with using backs from another seat? Having said that, yes, I am pretty sure that the backs were common.

So, what kind of late model buckets would work in a 60s Fairlane?
@AutoRestoMod6 жыл бұрын
Personally I'd be tempted to try the '05 on up buckets. But I haven't had a chance to try placing one. I might chat with my friend at the local yard and see if he will allow me to get one and put it in a car to check.

Are power and non-power seats interchageable? I need a temporary seat for my Fairlane while it's at the upholsterer.
@AutoRestoMod6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they are. The SN95 '99 and up six-way does have a big area on the front of the seat hogged out for the switch panel though.

i wonder how hard would it be. to use those power seat tracks on a set of factory 1967 Mustang seats.? or should i just leave well enough alone.?
@AutoRestoMod6 жыл бұрын
It is an interesting idea. Comtact me at: jford@autorestomod.com I have a '67 seat frame. If I have time this weekend I'll put them together and see. I THINK the seat will sit too high though. You'd have to lower the seat pan.

What would be a good seat for a 1964 falcon
@AutoRestoMod6 жыл бұрын
I really like the SN95 Mustang seat; the rounder top "fits" the era. Even with the power seat, It sits nicely in the chassis.

I know it's not related to seats but I noticed the car on the background has modern bullit wheels on ... What kind of spacers did you use on the front to fit them ???
