ME! The Ferrari BB 512 was the "big" 365. The name comes from the 512S, which was used in the Formula 1 in 1970. 5 liter V12 engine. In the 90ies, it was one of the most underrated Ferraris because of the huge costs of the engine maintenance. If this is a US model after 1981, it is called 512 BBi. Due to the emission standards in that time, the engine has a Bosch K-Jetronic injection. You can recognize this model at the parking lights.

I own an 04 v6 and some people may not know, that the rear bumper cover that says MUSTANG is getting really hard to find. When you buy a replacement cover these days its blank. Fun fact. Also, the v6 although low in HP compared to modern cars is very easy to work on and reliable if kept up. You can also get about 22-26 mpg on hwy.
@gavingonder7075 ай бұрын
I was recently given a 2000 v6 and it had over 330,000 miles when I received it. I have put almost 7,000 more on it, and it has had zero issues. The previous owner had bought it for his wife, who was a little hard on the clutch, but he was very good about routine maintenance, and it runs great. It still has the original engine and original everything, with the exception of some exterior add-ons (namely some unique paint and lettering)!

All the 99-04 v6 and GTs had mustang on the rear bumper. I had a 04 GT and I hated the mustang lettering in the bumper .

Sadly nowadays the late 90s and 2000s car parts aren't being made anymore which makes them a pain to find in good condition besides going to the junkyard to get a factory instead of getting an aftermarket which will be probably expensive…😤

Why do people treat the second most expensive thing they own like garbage ! Unbelievable.
@willvr45 ай бұрын
Some people just don't care about their car, and it's also a depreciating asset that is expensive to maintain properly. This thing probably just had engine issues and then was essentially abandoned.

My grandpa bought an 02 Mustang that was identical to this one (except his was mint) a couple years before he passed. The first week he owned it he left it to me just to drive around, without me even asking. I took it to 2 proms. 2012 & 2013. The first one I asked him the 2nd his health wasn't doing too well and I didn't want to bother about it but once he found out he made sure that I knew I better take it. Anyways love to see that you guys took care of this one even if it is just a V6 automatic.

Hello guys! Apparently, that organic material you have on the headlights and paint is artillery fungus. Yvan Lacroix taught me it can be easily removed with peanut oil. I used it on my brother's Subaru Forester since he lives in Florida but spent several vacation days in Virginia, and when I visited him, I detailed his vehicle. We don't have that in Puerto Rico, so it was my ever first experience dealing with that organic material. Yes, it can't be removed, even spraying iron remover or water spot remover, and sometimes it's very difficult also with a synthetic clay towel or a clay bar before polishing and it was extremely easy with peanut oil.

Replace the motor? If you are a deep pocketed car snob, just buy a different car with an impressive engine. This mustang would be a dream car for an average driver with an average budget, if it was in good running reliable condition. BTW, add-on power adders are available and common for V6 Mustangs.

You guys did your usual stellar job! Personally, if this car really doesn't run, it's probably easiest for an experienced backyard mechanic to just repair/replace the V-6. Lots of extra parts needed to convert it to a V-8, I'm sure. The car looks in pretty good shape overall from an appearance perspective after you finished with it. And most of the accessories probably still work.

I wouldnt engine swap anything. Unless the block is cracked. Then Id source another same year 6 cyl. The 64 1/2 Mustang was a straight 6. All 6 cyl Mustangs are nods to the original. And really it would look awesome at the mall, drive in, school parking lots and car shows. You dont need massive Cobra power to cruise Highway 1 along the California coastline. The top down wind in your hair and your favorite tunes on the radio is reall all thats needed for an authentic Mustang experience. On the dash styling. That too is a nod to the OG Mustang dash. Two accented zones that match each other. Keep em coming Boys. Cant wait for the Ferrari episode....ooops. did I let the cat outa the bag? 😳🤪

All that effort to remove mould...MMM...I cleaned my 22 year old Rav4 last night taking an hour and 30 minutes (started at about 6:45 pm finished at just after 8:00pm) outside in the cold but humid. The roof and mostly the left side of this 5-door was covered in thick mould from a jackorander tree. I'm only using anti-mould cleaner you use in your bathroom (I used a whole 800 mlt bottle), dishwashing liquid in 14 litre bucket, three buckets with cut-up sheet as clean rag (40 cm roughly square used) and rinse and another 4 clear water for final rinse. It still need a more detailed wash but removed 99.99 percent of everything and will kill any reminder mould. I had to stop as its winter here in Aussie...lol...! Update note: mould on car for 3 & a 1/2 years!

That is a 2003 Mustang LX with the Pony package. I used to have one in gray that was the hatchback and not the convertible. To me a V6 is plenty fast and has better gas mileage than a GT, plus it's much cheaper on insurance. I never understood why people need more horsepower unless they are racing and that should only be done on a track and not the open road where you could cause an accident and hurt or kill yourself or others. Yes, I'm 53, but even as a teen I drove the posted speed limit and only drove over it if other traffic was going faster to stay with the flow. I haven't had a speeding ticket since I was 19 years old and am now 53. Love this body style, but when I was younger I loved the 1987 - 1992 Mustang GT hatchback. Back then you could definitely tell the difference between an LX and a GT, but now even the base cars look almost the same other than wheels or tech features.
