I can tolerate some of RHCP but Anthony Kiedis’ style is annoying. Mike Patton is much more versatile in his singing and I really love that. This is the best Fox News clip I’ve ever seen.

Agreed, I've always found Kiedis a mix of boring and annoying. Often love what Flea does and Frusciante had some cool stuff as a guitar player (I mean in BSSM era), but Kiedis' style just always bored me. And after BSSM they kinda just devolved into mediocre songwriters whereas before they had a cool funk kinda sound. Now they do that same Scar Tissue type song over and over again. They got rich and they got lazy and their writing got too flaccid for any sock to hide.

@Daniel Drader I would've loved to see them perform at the same gig. Saw them both at the Big Day Out concerts in Adelaide, Chilli's had sound problems (not their fault) but were still awesome. Mike was with Tommahawk then, and sang his whole set with that voice resonating gas mask he wore. Epic set. Would've gone off together.

There's a guy named Tim Storm (maybe?) with a 10 octave vocal range, just do a quick search it'll come up. Grimes has a 6 octave vocal range. He is right, Patton rules, and if you look at 3 releases, which start with Faith No More's "The Real thing" released in 1989 (which got popular in 1990, so popular people asking about Patton's T Shirt that said "Mr Bungle" on it, his other band, got them signed, and they were to ahead of their time releasing 1991's, "Mr Bungle Self titled Debut" (2 vids never shown on MTV because they were odd) Then you have the most influential album, Faith No More's "Angel Dust" - those three albums from 1989 to 1991 are still influencing bands. And Anthony Keidas did start the crap back in 1990 and this rivalry most unaware of since Warner and Patton didn't get along (from 1995 to 1999 most thought FNM disapeared off face of the earth and if someone knew of Bungle they didn't remember them, but they released epic things. Guitarist Jim Martin left FNM, and Mr Bungle's Trey Spruance played/Wrote for 1995's KING FOR A DAY... and it's so interesting 1995 Mr Bungle's "Disco Volante" came out - you would never know that guitarist is capable of that. 1997's "Album of the Year" from Faith no more and 1999's "Californa" from Mr Bungle was ironically scheduled to be released the same day as Chili Peppers, "Califorincation" by coincidence, and in those titles you can see who's pretentious, and if you heard either album, one of them is groundbreaking and was hardly distributed, the other one is by a band that writign the same rehash stuff they wrote in the 90s so it's popular - Trevor Dunn is better than Flea, and maybe Bungle went to Far on the Halloween Show - yet Patton (Fantomas, Tomaahawk, Peeping Tom, Mondo Cane, Nevermen) Has joined a new band
