@vibrant_vision
@vibrant_vision Жыл бұрын
I think the issue here is the multiple substances. I have had times when I was so genuinely tired, just for a few minutes, something unsafe had the potential to happen. For instance, I fell asleep on the couch, after two days of exams, absolutely exhausted, at about 4 PM, only to wake up at 1 AM and realized I needed to put my kids to bed. I’m sure we’ve all had a moment when some instinct kicked in and we all of a sudden realized we needed to check on our kids, or dogs, or Cats, or partner. And I think those instincts are pretty powerful. But when you take one or more substances, those instincts can’t work the way they need to. I think if they had simply been extremely tired, that, for instance, the mother, might have fallen asleep for an hour or so, and then something would’ve prompted her to wake up, feeling that something wasn’t right, check on her kids, and go out to find her sleeping toddler. Any warm, but not deadly car, and bring them in before any harm is done.

In H/S we all made friends with the Police. When we asked about one we hadn't seen in a few days, we were told he took a leave. A few weeks later we were told he left the Dept. Reason why, he and his partner were called to a car accident. When he approached, he saw a child who was not buckled in properly half way thru the windshield. It literally destroyed him.

Imagine the extreme pain and panic and terror these babies and toddlers feel upon waking up because something is wrong! …I’m in a hot car, and no matter how much I try, or how loudly I still have the energy to cry, NO ONE is opening the door and NO ONE is getting me out of here!! 😮😢😫😖🥺😢😭😣😵‍💫😩😭😰😱❤️‍🩹 This is truly a horrific death!!!!!! Alcohol and Marijuana would not and do not affect my ability to care about my children to a paranoid degree. Especially when it comes to making sure their dad has completed whatever task I've asked, like keeping the front door locked since our 2 year old is strong enough to open doors. A 9 and 6 year old can take themselves inside. I wouldn't be keeping company with a methhead or not have a designated driver either. Both of them were drunk, meaning they were drinking and driving with kids. Neither cared. I don't even let their dad mess around on his phone while driving with us.

My mom left me in car at Bartow courthouse in 1970 and told me to keep doors and windows locked. I remember being soaked in tears and sweat and people looking at me with nobody stoping to help. I dared to roll the window down half inch for what felt like air conditioner. She came out right when I knew I was going to die! I was five. I threw up for days. It always amazes me when people ask questions like you just did and they always seem angry that someone believes in God and wants to know why He would let something like this happen to an innocent baby. If you don't believe, what makes you so angry that someone else does? People use tragedies like this to NOT believe in God. But we aren't supposed to understand everything. I don't disagree, but it's also at a point of silliness for Karen's out there. I go inside the gas station to pay for gas and the Karen's lose their minds. 30ft to pay for gas is not neglect and child abuse lol. And it doesn't matter what the temp is, it could be a mild cloudy 70F and they go nutty. 🙄 But what these parents did is sad. The pain of losing a child is immeasurable, and to have that happen at your own lack of judgment, weakness, addiction, whatever they want to call it. I can't fathom the added weight of pain that is added because they were the direct reason for their child's death.

@@TwitX2007 I'm not defending them, but clearly these two didn't grow up in the best environments. So they likely both became normalized to drug use, which normalized addiction, which led to them thinking it's all normal and their child would be fine growing up in this environment. It's sad that this becomes the norm. But I've told my children and others looking for life advice. You are who you associate with. Hang around people who care and offer you something, and that you care for and can also offer them something. If you hang around thugs, you shouldn't expect to become the CEO of a top company, become a full partner of a law firm etc. So when the norm is addictive substances and parties, you get what you've surrounded yourself with. I know, it is truly heartbreaking. We can hope, though, that she never woke up. Hopefully she was sleeping in the car, and as it heated up gradually, instead of making her feel pain, it just made her very drowsy, kept her asleep, and she passed away without experiencing significant pain or trauma. That might not be the case, but let’s all hope and pray that that was What happened. On the flipside, I think the thing that I find most disturbing from the child’s point of you, is that if she did wake up, she would be able to see her house, right out the window of the car, and know that she was so close to a cool and safe environment, and to her family. If a child were say, kidnapped, or lost, it would be upsetting, but I would think it would be even more Heart wrenching for the child, to be awake, weird that they couldn’t help themselves, and able to see safety, so close, and yet so far away. I truly hope that the former rather than the letter scenario was the case.

Last spring I had to go to the vet with one of our guinea pigs and get something from the pharmacy on the way. It wasn't too hot, but warm already, so I wanted to be on the safe side and took the carrier with our pet in with me to buy the medication. Not for my life will I ever understand how you can leave your baby in a hot car. We had one basic rule we followed without exception: Baby will be sat in the car last (after everything is packed in) and it will leave the car first.

They lost a sibling, which is awful. But it was obviously in their best interests to lose their “parents”. Who takes their little kids to a party like that ? That goes on for hours ? And then put them all in the car and drove home all f*caked up ? The fact that they even made it home in one piece never excuses taking the risk in the first place !! That’s utter negligence and they just got lucky. The 2 remaining kids are fortunate to lose them imo.

Clearly they were both doing things they shouldn't have, but there's no way they did this intentionally and they will obviously pay for what has happened.
