@@Houstonwehaveaprob1 Hi, the response during the earthquake was great and there are many animal lovers there, but to allow animals to roam free is barbaric. They are not all taken care of. How could they be? They are hungry, thirsty, not spayed and neutered, get hurt, sick, hit, get cold, hot, etc. Last year, the govt. put out an order to kl a large number of dogs. Many fought this. Many people take care of animals, bring them home, build shelters, have or buy land and take care of them. They also work to pressure the govt into getting these babies off the streets and out of the forests to bring them into more nice shelters, spay and neuter and care for them. Dogs and cats can not live outside. This should become more public to pressure them and have them worry that tourists will refrain from visiting until they do. Same in Greece and many other places.

Animals have asked humans to care for their relatives quite a bit over the years. There was a story about 10 years ago about a duck who asked a cop for help while he was sitting in his car at the park having lunch. The cop thought the duck was begging for food, so he threw down a piece of bread from his sandwich. The duck looked at the bread crumb and then looked back at him and she wouldn't move. The cop figured out that she was asking for something else, so he got out of his car and followed her as she led him to a fence where one of her ducklings was stuck. He helped free the duckling. They know that we can do things that they can't.

I'from Istanbul and I found a cat that couldn't walk once, took it to vet, she had her tail cut off to avoid further damage, her leg got better. 4 months, because it's a street cat, I had to pay less and she got better. I let it go around my building again in our residence and sometimes I meet her again when I go to gym at 10pm. Even at dark and way away from her, she still remembers to visit. I had to pay like half of my salary back then as well but it worth sit

When I visited there like 10+ years ago, it felt like heaven, every animals looked so healthy and secure around humans. One dog even followed me around all of a sudden. He will always be missed, may he rest in peace together with my other dogs that I've lost. Keep it up, turkey ❤

Dogs are so wonderful and this is coming from a lifelong cat owner. That Mama dog refused to believe her baby was dead, she’s better than a lot of the human mothers I’ve seen who intentionally murder their children. This is why animal abuse should be a crime. This little puppy was saved by a caring Mom. I hope they all get adopted so they can stay together - please don’t take her pup away!!

Because dogs don't speak our language, we unfortunately consider then to be stupid. Dogs are way more clever and intelligent than we give them credit - my Vizsla is so clever he can communicate with me his feelings and needs and can recognise my mood. Truly man's best friend!

I'm with my American staffy 24 hours everyday for four years. He listens to me just like a well behaved child. He is very intelligent about many everyday things.

Their intelligence varies on each subject. My dog is relatively smart, but struggles very hard to understand how to unwrap himself when his leash is stuck around something. He just does not get it. He thinks his leash can phase through matter. And whenever I tell him to go around to get unstuck, he repeatedly keeps going in the wrong direction and getting himself more stuck.

In a world of suffering and heartaches. This story is a light in the darkness. Never dismiss an animal as an object. They have a soul and are sentient beings. This story proves that.
