Not picking sides here, just sayin. His window was down evidenced by the officer trying to drag him out once that car had stopped. So I’m thinking he pretty much wound have had a verbal interaction with the officer or at the very least heard his instructions to stop. Maybe he wasn’t the first car to ignore the officers commands and the officer finally got pissed. It happens. Maybe Scottie mumbles something under his breath that he didn’t think was heard. It takes two to tango. Maybe the officer did overstep and overreact. Maybe the PGA wanted a ratings spike for the weekend and generated the whole thing. It can happen that way. I was a juror on a robbery case that happened at a convenience store about 15 years ago. The robber demanded the cash from the register and was refused. The robber pulled a revolver out and repeated the demands. The clerk froze and the robber smacked him on the side of his face, then smashed the register on the floor to open it. He took what he could get and jumped in his car and fled, but hit another customer's car on the way to the road. I showed up for several court appearances until we gave our findings to the judge. The robber was charged with (1) robbery, (2) assault, (3) aggravated battery, (4) criminal mischief for damaging the register, (5) leaving the scene of an accident without stop to help or exchange information. The whole event on video tape was less than 1 minute. >>> Yes, charges stack up fast. Stupid and bad judgment are a fool's companion. The defense got 18 years in prison.

In that situation, with cops telling you from outside the car what to do and where to go it can get VERY confusing. It happened to me once. I wasn't arrested but the cop jumped out to my car stopped me and screamed at me to go to the police station to get my ticket. I was young and naive and actually went to the local station as requested. The cops there laughed at my story and told me to forget about it. The cop who yelled at me apparently had a bad reputation and was annoyed he had traffic duty that day.

I’d like to see the police body cam footage. This officer displayed typical police tyrant/thug abuse. Cop had no reason to go immediate hands on. He charged him with everything he could think of so something might stick. DA should drop the charges. Resisting is typical secondary garbage charge police use. It’s one of those, oh I felt his arm tense up when I was twisting his arm to cuff him. Absent video footage, who will the court believe. The police are investigating the incident. They will find the officer did nothing wrong. The police are a gang sanctioned by the city or state and they back each other, you know, the thin blue line.
