None of them seem like they’re promoting a movie. This is genuinely something they loved doing and a film they are proud of

I love interviewers like this - who know what they're talking about, and _love_ what they're talking about, and know the actors and their works well enough to reference
@MonoFlax6 жыл бұрын
Agree completely. I love how nerdy he is. He has this stuff he‘s really interested in - the color palette, the teal color sceme, the fact that guillermo did a lot of the creature‘s sounds, the dry for wet filming - and no matter what he‘s gonna ask every single one of them about it xD

I could spend hours listening to Guillermo Del Toro - so much to learn of him

We need more film makers like him. Del Toro just brings these other worldly elements to life.

Angiie Pintle one of the thibgs i found interesting in the movie is the parallel between Strickland and cpt. Vidal from Pan's Labyrinth
@angiieVEVO6 жыл бұрын
Gilberto Ignacio Aguirre Vargas well, I would desagree. Strickland has a very strange sense of humour. And he is a subordinate. In my opinion, is a more interesting character.

Gilberto Ignacio Aguirre Vargas But theres some similitudes between them, of course.

Idk if it's weird that this was what I focused on, but I thought the interviewer was so good? He genuinely cared about the movie instead of asking the actors stupid shit or about their personal life

oh wow! I didn't notice "the help" easter egg until now! I thought Shannon was just referring to Octavia and Sally simply as "the help" without any reference to Octavia's past roles but that's clever. Always nice to see del Toro working his magic again with a cast by his side :)

I have a question, and sorry if I spoil the movie for anyone who has not seen it, so if you have not don't read my comment further, lol. Anyhow, people have said to me, that you find out in the end the woman is the same as him, because she can breathe underwater, but my question is if she is how come she looks completely human? But I also wonder what if she was completely human, maybe he could of given her some kind of magic healing so she could breathe underwater? Sorry my apologies if I have anything incorrect with my comment, but I've only seen the movie one time, and I don't remember the ending real well because I seen the film a long time ago.

dry for wet, he explained it, a technique that makes a set look like it is underwater. they use smoke, suspend objects in air and blow fans on the fabric and hair, then put the film in slow motion and add bubbles in post production. very impressive.
