This movie defines, captures, perfectly describes the reason why I fell in love with movies. This romance started, for me, 45 years ago with "2001: A Space Odyssey", renewed by "The Godfather I & II", "Close Encounters...", "Field of Dreams", "Contact", "E.T.", "Hacksaw Ridge" --- the list goes on-- & now this film. This is film every bit as romantic as "Casablanca". It is a joyful shock. (I'm a "cat person" & I love this movie.)

Guillermo is truly one of the greatest visionary while Sally truly nailed her part in this movie, she's totally killing it with her talent & skills in acting. Wonderfully amazing!

I love how Guillermo mentioned Glen Keane! There's never enough mention of incredibly talented animators in the film industry unless it's amongst artists. I love this guy!!! He's a real director

Fortunately, I'm in Los Angeles where we have 2 theaters playing it. We were able to watch it at the Arclight Dome in Hollywood. Literally sitting to my left was Sam Rockwell. Lol, it was pretty surreal. Pan's Labyrinth is so great because it feels and looks like nothing else while The Shape of Water reminds you of The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Beauty & the Beast, and even King Kong & many other movies yet it still manages to be so much different. I'm sure you'll love it when you finally get to see it.
