My father in law came to this country only after his father came here first, got permission to work, got a job and saved for 2 years to bring his wife and 2 kids to America! Then my father in law went to school not knowing how to speak English, he and his sisters sat and learned the language from listening to the other kids and teachers and by their father only allowing English to be spoken in their home. They both died two years ago after living in America for 80 years never looking for a handout, being productive and proud Americans always voting and raising their children to be proud Americans. Something that should be taught to today’s immigrants!
