I think that history will remember that Jimmy Carter had one of the toughest jobs that a chief executive has ever had. In his January 1977 inauguration, the Vietnam War and Watergate scandal were still fresh in many peoples minds. The fact that it Carters will to move the country beyond that, and get it pointed in a new direction is exactly what America needed during that time. RIP Jimmy Carter. 🙏🙏

You know, I was a mere kid when Jimmy Carter was President. I came to the GREAT U.S.A., long after he had left office, followed by my entire Family because of the injustices of a dictatorship. If anyone wants to know how great this man was, follow the story of Guyana and his life long involvement in restoring democracy almost after 30 years in dictatorship. He was there as recently as 2020 when the stealers of elections surfaced once again, in his 90’s! Think of what kind of Man, he was! I have never found a human being so decent, in the words and life of God, so committed to humanity. I have never seen such a humble person as this President. If his was not greatness, then what is? President James Earl Carter, Guyanese and people of this World love you, will always love you. Our love and respect for you are eternal. You will never be forgotten. I personally admired Mr. Carter and his lovely Wife, Rosalyn. Not everyone stays married for more than 70 years and not everyone lives to 100 years. Like all of us, God Almighty sends each of us with a mission and unlimited potential for a time on this Earth. Some of us squander this opportunity miserably and on the other side, look what President Carter did with his! Power, arrogance, dishonesty and so much of what we see today, means nothing. We are all equated by death and our Creator’s judgement. I hope , Sir, that you are now back on your farm, lying with your Dearest, in eternal peace and rest. Highest respect to the Carter Family, especially Jason who still is involved in Guyana. Thank you, Carter Family! Imagine, out of hundreds of tributes, one nasty person on this forum was so evil to President Carter and I put you in your place. You know who you are, you cannot hide behind a name. If, I who is not American born could honor an American President, regardless of politics, why can’t you? I watched the funeral and when that plane took off from AFB, all I did was wave and wave, saying goodbye with tears in my eyes until it disappeared. We will not see another messenger of God for a long time to come, President Carter, you were special and a chosen One. God bless you, Mr.President and sweet Rosalyn!

I was glad to see Amy, their daughter again, after such a long time. She was a child when they moved into the White House and all the world's children of that time around the globe, that's us, always looked for her in all the media pictures.
