How many times have we seen this same story play out in Minnesota. The Viking get their guy, but they can't figure out how to get the people around that person that can help make it happen. They can't meet the salary cap. How do other teams do it. How is it the KC has been doing it for the last four years. How did NE do it for so many years. Dallas, Pittsburgh, Philly, Baltimore just to name a few. These teams are always in the hunt. I wish Cousins the best and I hope he does well in Atlanta. God knows how he didn't get crippled playing in Minnesota.

I don’t know who this dude Kwesi Adodo-Mensah is. But it’s obvious, he doesn’t watch NFL football. Not even the home team. He just speaking talking points. The sound of his voice, tells you everything needs to know. Probably just watches ESPN. Definitely doesn’t do any real research.

Kirk choked in every playoff except 1. 😂 Jim is defending him as if he didn't have much to do with the losses. He literally choked by tucking his tail 3 seconds before the sack even came when someone like case keenum under that same pressure or worse made something happen even though the hit was coming. Kirk is soft. Period. He has zero grit when the team needs a crunch time win.

No he didn't. The offense put up more than enough points to win. The defense could not keep the lead. It was Cousins that put the Viking in the lead late in that playoff game only to see the defense give up that lead in brutal fashion. Zero grit? You can't be serious. Cousins took more hits than any other QB in the entire league. It's amazing that he played every game up until his Achilles gave out. The Minnesota offense went into a tail spin after Cousins went down. They had no legitimate back up plan and the team was scrambling to get anyone under center that could lead this team. I think you need to face the fact that Case Keenum got awful lucky in the one playoff game against the Saints. I've never seen a D-back make a that poor of a play on a hail mary pass. All the guy had to do was keep Diggs in front of him. That score was an absolute gift. Wasn't it Cousins that help set a record for the most single score wins and set a record for the largest comeback in NFL history after the team literally gave the first half of the game away against the Colts. Cousin did his part, or did you want him to also play defense.

It appears Jim is a big Cousins' fan. Lol! I like Cousins but it's time to move on and he's way too expensive.

That would be fine if the team had plan and had someone ready to take over. The Viking franchise has never been patient enough to groom a QB. They just don't do it. When they have tried. It's been a failure. Anyone they bring in will have to get up to speed fast. Ask yourself, "how many have tried and failed'. Until Cousins injury (which just kind of happened). The guy has been Ironman. Cousins has taken more hits then any other QB in the league. Let's just see how a new QB handles that much physical contact.

@@axlejohnson9156 So, you're upset that Cousins is gone? This team is officially on rebuilding stage now, so yes it's going to take time for whoever the team drafts as the QB. It's been a long time since they drafted a QB in the first round. The last time was Ponder and Bridgewater and we all know how those two turned out. Yes, Cousins was able to stay healthy for most of his career but the dude can't take this team to the promise land and we all want this team win that Super Bowl trophy, right?
