Using the controller to set the thickness of the probe (at 08:34) it seems possible to modify it with steps of 1 mm only !! That seems very strange, could you please confirm ?

do you know if the black box cables have enough reach to be put underneath cnc machine?

Long enough that you could put the machine on a table and the control box on a shelf underneath it.

I have had mine for a couple months now and its been great. Now, all of a sudden the Y motor has decided its going to go in the wrong direction! Any ideas why it would suddenly decide to change its mind? I have made no changes to the machine in the time I have had it, but today it changed its mind... very frustrating!

If only one stepper motor is moving in the wrong direction, it is probably faulty and needs to be replaced. Also check the wiring and that the plugs are properly seated. If both stepper motors are moving in the wrong direction, you can fix that by changing the $3-Direction port invert mask setting. github.com/gnea/grbl/blob/master/doc/markdown/settings.md#3--direction-port-invert-mask

I posted a previous comment about my screen going blank on the controller and wondered if anyone else has had the same issue...I have since found out through Tech Support that a bad SD card will cause this to happen....but I have had 2 xe pro machines and it did it on both...I find it hard to believe that I am the only one that has this problem... would like to know if anyone has a fix for this...

I have not seen that problem. I would post on the foxalien Facebook forum and see if anyone else has experienced it.

I have an important question for anyone that has maybe had the same problem I have on the FoxAlien XE Pro and possible fix??? Sometimes when I am switching back & forth on the controller screen the screen goes BLANK - turns white with no text on it. I have to switch between PC & controller to bring the screen back up I know it's not isolated to just my machine because I have had 2 of these units thinking the first one was defective, I had it replaced and the 2nd one is doing it to.................... :-( is there a firmware update for this or am I just doing something to cause it which is unlikely, all I am doing is moving back and forth on the screens when it does it, very frustrating ???
