Great video... 1,.) Question on upgrade options for spindle. If I'm looking to do hardwood, primarily, would you recommend going with a bauer type router or is there an upgraded spindle from masuter you would recommend? 2.) Do you know if the standard dust boot they sell on their site will work with the 3s?

So if your cutting hardwoods the 400w will do it but you’ll have to make sure your cut passes are set right. I’d go Shallow and Slow. I would definitely recommend the Bauer as its most twice as powerful at about 30k rpms! As far as the dust boot… yes! It will fit the 400 and Bauer out of box! Thanks for watching and commenting!! i dont exactly have the funds for the 3S version, but if i really ask around i can get the moeny just is it worth it? i ordered the Masuter 3 for now but im wondering is the extra $450 CAD worth spending for my first cnc machine in a small wood shed shop or I should just stick with the Masuter 3 and not worry about needing the 3S???????? i really hope you will still answer this

Hey there! I’m sure you’ll be very happy with the 3 but the 3s is a better machine! The extra Z height and more Rigidity is a plus as well as if you decide to expand it… the X is longer than the Y which makes it (IMO) easier to work with. It’s not a huge deal…. But if you can…. The 3S is better.

Hi. Can you cut completely through wood with this or only engrave? If you can completely cut through wood, what is the max thickness of wood? Thank you

Hey there! So yes….. you can cut all the way through but you need to make sure the endmill (bit) is long enough for instance a 1” endmill will cut 1” or a little more. Ask any questions you may have!

@ I know they make longer but I use 1” cut 1/8” shank all the time. Cost is about $25/each. I’m not sure if there are 1.5-2” cut lengths so I’d look into that.

Awesome!! It’s definitely a learning curve so don’t get frustrated too much! LoL. It comes with Candle but if you really want get cutting fast….. just start with Easel or Easel Pro! It’s an online software and super easy to use!

Try busing Easel Pro to start. It’s super easy and will get you in the right direction!

@@joequinata9901 I haven’t tried the Vevor as of yet. Most of these aren’t industrial use but it should work good enough if you take care of it. Get to know what you’re doin and then you can upgrade!

i see with the extension kit they have just released for the masuter 3 it comes with open loop 23 stepper motors.Is there a marked difference between them and the closed loop motors supplied with the 3s.

NEMA23 open-loop stepper motors move based on predefined steps without feedback, so they don't know if they miss a step. Closed-loop NEMA23 motors, however, have feedback systems that monitor position, allowing them to correct missed steps, leading to more accurate and reliable operation.

Pretty sure you're the only person who can't understand simple measuring. Stay away from a CNC. If you don't understand how a ruler works, power tools are not for you.
